What's cookin' picture
What's Cookin'
Tariya Edwards, Kitchen Services Director is proud to report that Safe Harbor received over 115 turkeys for the Thanksgiving holiday!  In addition, we received numerous Stouffers Party Size lasagnas from generous donors.  Tariya was proud to share the turkeys with feeding agencies that did not receive any turkey donations.

Tariya is pleased to announce that numerous volunteers have answered our pleas for kitchen servers and dinner providers.  We still need several volunteers to commit to at least a day per month to provide dinner for 20 residents.  If you can help, please call Tariya at 610-696-9016.
Socks
Sock It To Us
Once again, RSVP of Chester County (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) donated socks to Safe Harbor residents through their seventh annual "Sock It To Us" campaign.  Over 4,500 pairs of new socks were collected and contributed by the Citizens of Chester County.  Twenty four agencies and programs in Chester County that serve the needs of our homeless and disadvantaged neighbors benefited by this collection.  We are so grateful for the wonderful donation that filled our sock drawer!
First Annual Santa's Causes
Chester County Community Foundation is sponsoring the First Annual Santa's Causes at the outdoor Lincoln Courtyard located at 28 W. Market St. in West Chester.  Come check out the Safe Harbor themed Christmas tree.  Donations are accepted at this site for the nonprofit organizations featured.  Santa will be holding court every weekend in December!
