Meals Needed
 As you know, we've been serving an additional 16 residents here at Safe Harbor. We have been short approximately 20 dinner meals per month.
If you have been thinking of a way you can be more a part of Safe Harbor, please consider sponsoring a meal or two once a month. You may contact our Kitchen Services Director, Tariya Edwards (610-696-9016) to sign up for a day that is convenient for you.
We are also in need of sponsors for our community lunch (Monday through Friday) and our Sunday lunch program (November through March).
Don't like to cook? Please consider ordering take-out for our residents! They love variety such as Pizza Hut, Chinese Food, Chick-fil-A or Hoagies. Just let Tariya know when you would like to bring in the food and she'll be sure to sign you up! |

Volunteer Needs Volunteer needed to pick up baked goods from Starbucks Coffee Shop on 2 W. Gay St. in West Chester between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Mondays and Fridays and deliver them to Safe Harbor.

 If you received an extra turkey or a lasagna with your grocery store points and cannot use it, please consider donating the food items to Safe Harbor. We accept this kind of donation throughout the holiday season!

 What's Cookin'
On October 10, 2010 "Soul Satisfying" chili was cookin' at Safe Harbor! Tariya Edwards, Kitchen Services Director cooked up a batch of twelve trays of chili to be handed out to the West Chester Rotary's Chili Cook-Off attendees!And Oh Yes She Did Win Second Place In The Non-Profit Division! This was Tariya's first time participating in the event and she made us all proud! | | Ken Ross and Jane Nocito helping out; Jane shows off her chili pepper necklace! | We could not have done this without the help of three of our community service volunteers who chopped peppers and onions for the chili as well as Tariya, Tenowah, Daviona and David Edwards, Ken and Annette Ross, Tony and Jane Nocito, John Ogborne as well as shelter staff Glenn Fricke, Patty Sobecki and David Weathington. Each one of these volunteers had an important role in making the day so successful.

Golf Outing a Success!
Sixty eight golfers enjoyed 65 degree weather on October 18 at R adley Run Country Club. The silent auction offered 18 beautiful gifts including many golf packages to other country clubs in Chester County. Safe Harbor grossed $18,530! Thank you for all your support. |
Holiday Gifts Needed
Help make this holiday season special for our residents by donating gifts for Christmas Day distribution. 
Some ideas include men's and ladies wallets, gloves and slippers. Our residents also appreciate gift cards to local stores such as Wawa, K-mart and Payless Shoesource.

Halloween Candy Welcome Here
Safe Harbor residents would be happy to receive your extra Halloween candy. You may drop off the candy at any time and we'll set it out as a treat for our residents. |
Mark Your 2011 Calendar! Radley Run Country Club Art Show to benefit Safe Harbor on March 18 and 19, 2011. Over 50 local artists will be presenting their artwork. Refreshments will be available. More information to follow! |
