 We're MovingGreetings!
The time has come that the shelter renovations will be completed and we will be moving back into our home.  The tentative plan is to begin moving some items into the shelter on February 26 and the official move in day of all the office desks and beds is March 14.  This is all dependent on receiving our occupancy permit.

We will be having our grand opening on March 13 from 1-4 p.m., mark your calendar and plan on joining us for this wonderful occasion!

Shout Out Goes To...
So many people and groups have stepped up to donate special items or their time to Safe Harbor's renovations.  We'd like to recognize two special people who have taken the lead on making a special difference in our renovations.

Andrea Flemming, Manager, The Home Depot, Downingtown recognized the need for some extra items to complete the shelter.  Andrea wrote a grant to The Home Depot Foundation on behalf of Safe Harbor and we were awarded $21,000!  We were so grateful to pick out cabinets and countertops for the breakfast buffet, beverage center and pantry closet on the first floor as well as a 12 ft. area of storage drawers and cabinets in our storage closet on the second floor.  This incredible gift will allow us to operate efficiently on a daily basis as well as have our donations stored in a clean, organized manner.

Thomas Kalinoski of Thomas Wallcoverings gathered ten of his contractor friends and will paint the entire first floor of the shelter on March 6 and 7.  As you may remember, the first floor was not going to need to be painted but because the walls had to be rebuilt, painting then became a necessity.  Since this cost was never accounted for in our initial contract amount, we were hoping somebody would be able to donate this project.  Benjamin Moore donated all the paint for this project!
