Volunteers Needed
Are you an early bird? We need you! Shelter volunteers are needed to assist the overnight staff from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. every day of the week. Your responsibilities will be to help set up a continental breakfast, monitor chores (including checking on the completion of cleaning the shelter and bathrooms), run final loads of laundry and any other duties assigned by the staff.
If you can help us out, please call Patty at 610-692-6550 to be put on the schedule. Thank you for your consideration! |

It's All Fun and Games!
We offer a Game Night activity for our residents at least once a month and are looking for some new games for our residents. If you would like to donate a gift to the shelter for the Christmas holiday, please consider a new board game such as Scrabble, Catch Phrase, Yatzee, Dominoes or any other group type games. As always, we appreciate your donation! |
Sock It To Us!
RSVP of Chester County (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) provided Safe Harbor with 151 assorted new socks for our residents on November 23. This was RSVP's sixth annual "Sock It To Us" campaign and over 4,000 pairs of new socks were shared among 22 non-profit organizations in Chester County! We are so grateful for the wonderful donation! |
Quote of the Month Too often we under-estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Dr. Felice Leonardo Buscaglia
