Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It's important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It's the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.
~ Dr. Dorothy I. Height, President and CEO of the NCNW |

Volunteer enjoys her experience at Safe Harbor!
We received a lovely e-mail from one of our dedicated kitchen volunteers and wanted to share it with all of you!
"Just wanted to let you know that everything went well with the meal tonight. I finally met Tariya and she was most helpful in getting me organized. Two fine gentlemen from the shelter assisted me in bringing things to and from my vehicle. And even though the residents were served chili two nights in a row, they were most gracious. I truly enjoyed my experience this evening and feel privileged to have had the opportunity to share some time with a great group of people." Thanks Tom! And thanks Tariya!!! Judy Reynolds
If you would like to join volunteers like Judy in preparing or serving a meal, please contact Tariya Edwards at 610-696-9016

A Gentle Reminder for Evening Volunteers
Please remember not to enter the main office when the door is closed since private counseling is occuring between Dr. Brown and our residents. When Dr. Brown is between counseling sessions, you may then enter the office to access supplies from the storage closet and distribute them to the residents.
Thank you for your understanding during our time at the temporary location! |
