All donations are requested by October 1 and please mark "Volunteer Hole Sponsor" on your check memo. We are so grateful! |

From the Executive Director's Desk...
Well, here we are in the middle of the summer with great news that our construction is now in full swing. The walls are down. The dump trucks have been in and out for days taking away the old and preparing for the new. Our construction contractors, Berks Ridge Company Enterprises, Inc. located out of Harleysville, PA have been doing an excellent job in developing the site at 20 N. Matlack St. in the Borough of West Chester. The temporary location for our homeless single men and women has just been terrific. The accommodations, even though they are very tight, are meeting the needs of our men and women. We continue to have many friends that are supporting our brown bag lunches that are provided five days a week until we move back to our new home. I can't say enough about Tariya Edwards, Food Services Director and all the staff at Safe Harbor that has made this transition a tremendous success. If in the future you feel the need to give, please think of Safe Harbor and all the good works that have been given to those men and women that needed a helping hand. I've said it many times before that we are so fortunate for our health and families that we have. The volunteers, Board Members and staff have and continue to give these men and women the dignity and respect that we all want in our lives. I continue to be amazed that as we look forward to our new home, the giving just keeps coming. Thank you all for caring and sharing the little things in life - talking, laughing, and just listening to what is going on in the lives of the people we support at Safe Harbor. I look forward to seeing you all at our 2nd Annual Golf Event to be held on October 26, 2009 at the Radley Run Country Club. Warm Regards, Glenn L. Fricke Executive Director |

What's Cookin'
Bagged Lunches needed! Our community lunch program is at currently at risk. We do not have enough sponsors to provide bagged lunches to our community members who depend on a lunch Monday through Friday.
Can you help out our fellow neighbors? Please call Tariya (610-696-9016) to sign up for a day to sponsor 60 bagged lunches. We ask that a sandwich, fruit/vegetable, snack pack (such as popcorn, chips, pretzels), dessert, beverage and napkin be included in the bagged lunch.
Grab a friend and/or a neighbor and let the bagging begin! We truly need this support until we move back into our permanent location. |
Let the Blitzing Begin!
Grove Youth Mission Blitz consisting of eight youth and adult leaders completely cleaned the shelter on Wednesday, August 5, getting into all the corners and making the shelter shine! We are so grateful for their community service! |

New Pillows Arrive
Thank you to Amerikids choral group who donated 18 brand new pillows to the shelter! These pillows were collected from the youth during their summer camp. |
