Meet Darcy Sanchez

Darcy was born and raised in the small town of Payson, Arizona.  She has worked as an Administrative Assistant for over 17 years and has been the Southwest Conference Planners' Director of First Impressions  and Accounting Assistant since 2004.

Darcy's hobbies include going to garage sales, frequenting antique shops, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.  She married her high school sweetheart, Sean, and they currently live in Queen Creek, Arizona.  They have three children-Cody, Crystal, and Colter; and three wonderful grandchildren, Jaylee, Hayleigh, and Conner.

We would like to extend a warm congratulations to Betty Covey and Kristin Tacey, Account Executives in our Tucson and Phoenix offices, for both attaining their Destination Management Certified Professional  (DMCP) designation.  The purpose of the DMCP program is to increase professionalism within the destination management industry by establishing a level of knowledge and performance necessary for certification; identifying a body of knowledge required; stimulating the art and science of destination management; increasing the value of practitioners to their employers; recognizing and raising industry standards and practices and thereby, ethics; and maximizing the value of the products and services that destination management professionals can provide.    Clients are assured that when dealing with a DMCP, they will receive the hihest level of professional service from a knowledgeable planner with experience handling a broad range of programs.

New Restaurants Open in Phoenix/Scottsdale

Seasons 52


Seasons 52

Seasons 52 has recently opened in Phoenix.  The restaurant is a fresh grill devoted to serving up the sensational flavors of a seasonally-inspired menu.  With its casual yet elegant atmosphere and an award winning wine list, Seasons 52 will definitely rank as a favorite among locals and visitors.  Some signature dishes the menu offers include Cedar Plank Atlantic Salmon, Caramelized Sea Scallops, Garlic Chicken Flatbread, Roasted Crab-Stuffed Shrimp, Ripe Plum Tomato Flatbread, Grilled Rack of New Zealand Lamb and the Char Crust Filet Mignon.  Three private rooms, a patio, and a chef's table make this restaurant perfect for groups of varying sizes.

Iruna

Iruna, a tapas-style restaurant with a lounge atmosphere, is now open in Old Town Scottsdale.  The flavors of Spain come alive on Iruna's seasonal menu that also incorporates local produce and unique drink options to make the dining experience completely unique.

2011 National Championship in Arizona

The 2011 National Championship of College Football Game will be held in Glendale, Arizona located just 10 miles northwest of Phoenix.  The NCAA football teams that play in the BCS Championship Game are the two top-ranked teams in the BCS standings which is announced in early December 2010. 

The game will take place on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the University of Phoenix Stadium.  The stadium has the ability to seat up to 73,000 guests and serves as the home of the Arizona Cardinals.
