Who's Who at SWCP
Meet Lonnie Laubach...

Senior Program Manager

Lonnie
Lonnie Laubach grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota with a hockey stick in hand.  The sunshine of the southwest lured him away from the rink and brought him to Arizona State University where he graduated with a degree in business.  He visits home every summer, but doesn't miss the cold and snow of the Minnesota winters.  After college, he met Jim Lammy and has been a part of the SWCP family for nearly 19 years.  He loves the diversity of his job and the wonderful clients he has worked with year after year.  Lonnie says, "It's been a great run and a lot of fun everyday to be part of a winning team."  When Lonnie's not taking care of his groups, he enjoys hiking Camelback Mountain, golfing many of the fine Arizona golf courses and following the great Arizona sports teams.

Lonnie is a Senior Program Manager handling program logistics for key accounts.  You can contact him at 480-609-5306 or llaubach@swcp.net
Gaylord Resorts Approved
Build it and they will come...Gaylord logo

Mesa voters approved a tax incentive for two major Gaylord Resorts to be built on the old General Motors proving grounds.  The first resort will be 1,200 rooms with 225,000 square feet of meeting space.  The second resort will be just under 500 rooms with an 18-hole championship Tom Fazio golf course.  The $1 billion project will include a retail component and is expected to begin construction by December 31, 2011 with completion by December 31, 2014.
Super Bowl in AZ in '13?

NFL Logo
As part of a business expense to land the 2013 Super Bowl, The Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority agreed to give the NFL $4.4 Million to bring the title game back to the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.  Arizona is vying with New Orleans and Miami for the February 3, 2013 game.  Arizona, which also hosted Super Bowl XXX in 1996 at Sun Devil Stadium and Super Bowl XLII in 2008 at University of Phoenix Stadium, lost the 2011 game to Dallas and the 2012 game to Indianapolis by one vote.  Arizona has stiff competition because New Orleans has hosted nine Super Bowls and Miami will have hosted 10 Super Bowls after next year's game.  Preliminary bids must be submitted to the NFL headquarters in New York by May 1.
