Praise God!
1. We are thrilled to announce that at just the right time God has provided a new Assistant to the President, Josias Hansen! Josias introduces himself in the right hand column. Starting this month, Josias will be handling all of our receipting along with many other administrative tasks.
2. We are very thankful for all Andrew Lonsbury did for us over the past year in his role as Assistant to the President. Of Andrew's many contributions, we are especially grateful for all he did to develop our social media presence, and to work closely with Tim to create and launch our new website.
3. Speaking of our new website, have you visited our completely revamped Resource Library yet? We are deeply grateful to now be able to offer online our books, audio and video recordings, and over 65 essays on the spiritual life and leadership.
4. Thanks to the generosity of a number of individuals--several regular and a few new supporters-we have now raised all the cash needed to fund the most pressing financial needs related to phase one of this year's ministry in Myanmar.
5. We thank God for First Baptist Church of Sister Bay, one of several churches that support Faith, Hope, and Love. In August, we met with the pastor, taught an adult education class, and fielded questions from the mission committee over lunch. Each gathering provided a different way to share all that God has been doing through our ministries and to thank them for their ongoing support
6. God met Jill in some profound ways during her 30 day silent Ignatian retreat. Read about her experience on her blog "Hearing God During 30 Days of Silence."

Pray With Us
1. Safety for our brothers and sisters and resolution of the political crisis in the Congo as the rebels continue to threaten Goma and people in the countryside of Eastern Congo.
2. Wisdom and ability for Cambodian leaders as they finish translating The Spirit-Led Leader into the Khmer language as a resource for Christian leaders and for FHLGM's future ministry there in 2013.
3. We are still praying for complete healing for Jill and relief from constant pain emanating from bulging discs on nerves in her neck.
4. Complete funding for the Assistant position. So far, two donors have generously contributed $5200 toward what is needed over the next twelve months. We still need at least $3000 in pledges.
5. Meeting in France with co-leaders from the Chemin Neuf Community to plan for next year's week long spiritual retreat in Chartres, France.
6. Final preparation of Tim's three seminary courses to be taught at the Myanmar Institute of Theology this fall semester.
7. Safety in travel to France (Tim and Jill) and to Myanmar (Tim and Ken).

Greetings!
Fall is here, and we can hardly wait to dive back into our teaching, speaking, research, and writing. Jill and I leave on Sunday (September 9) for France, where we will be meeting with church and ministry leaders over the next few weeks. We have planning meetings with our co-leaders from the Chemin Neuf Community to prepare for next year's week-long, French-language, spiritual retreat. Jill will be working on her photography and further developing her ministry through the Chartres Cathedral. I will be coaching and consulting again, while doing final preparation for fall classes.
From France, I will be heading to Myanmar at the end of September. My brother, Ken Geoffrion (pictured below), will be joining the team for the first two weeks of our work there. He and I will travel to Kalaymyo, on the very edge of the black zone (where foreigners are not allowed to go). We will be there to teach up to 30 faculty members from various Christian colleges and seminaries, working in collaboration with the Association for Theological Education in Myanmar (ATEM). Once again, the subject will be The Spirit-Led Leader curriculum. (You can listen to the entire 20 sessions from our online Resource Library.)
Meanwhile, Jill will be splitting her time between Chartres and the U.S. Speaking engagements in Minnesota and at Princeton Theological Seminary mean more separation for us, but meaningful opportunities to minister here in our own country.
Thank you for caring about our work to strengthen and develop church leaders who are sacrificially working to build up the church amid many challenges. Please pray for our safety in travel and for fruitfulness in this fall's ministries in France, Myanmar (Tim and Ken), and the United States (Jill). The reach of our work continues to expand, and we continually seek wisdom to know how to best develop the ministries God has entrusted to us. Thank you for your support.

A New Season Ahead for Andrew
It's hard to believe my year at Faith, Hope, and Love Global Ministries has reached its end. The time has raced by, but I'm grateful that we've been able to accomplish so much in such a relatively short time.
My deepest gratitude goes out to those who have supported me this year both prayerfully and financially. Thank you for your faithful support. It is because of your sacrifices and encouragement that Faith, Hope, and Love was able to create this much needed Assistant to the President position, as well expand our social media presence significantly through Facebook, audio recordings of our teachings, our new Resource Library, and our new website.
I have now transitioned to a new role as the Development Coordinator at Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation. My time at Faith, Hope, and Love helped me confirm my desire to work at a faith-based non-profit, and ultimately in business development and fundraising.
Lastly, a very special thank you is well deserved to Tim and Jill Geoffrion, who are truly two heroes of the Faith. May they continue to be blessed and equipped to carry on the very special work of Faith, Hope, and Love Global Ministries.

Welcome to the Team!
We are thrilled to be able to welcome Josias Hansen to the Faith, Hope, and Love Global Ministries team. He comes as an answer to prayer, bringing enthusiasm, mission experience, a deep personal faith, an appreciation for theological education and the training of pastors, and a love for life and Spirit-led adventure. Please read his introduction of himself below. Welcome, Josais!
My name is Josias Hansen. I'm very excited to join the Faith, Hope, and Love team as the new Assistant to the President. I'm a Minnesota native from South St. Paul. Currently, I'm a student at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. After finishing school, I hope to use my knowledge and gifts to serve the church through either parish ministry or academic teaching. Here's a fun fact about myself: I've led two coast-to-cost bicycle tours across America to raise money and awareness for different humanitarian causes.
What drew me to Faith, Hope, and Love is its commitment to helping under-advantaged pastors and Christian leaders gain the training they need to more effectively serve their communities. Now on staff, I look forward to partnering with each one of you in furthering God's kingdom together.

Helping When Times are Hectic

For some like myself, early Fall can become incredibly hectic with the start of a new school year. The world can seem like it's spinning faster than ever and you're just trying to hold on. If you are anything like me, during times like this, you probably put all your energy and focus on your "to do" lists and tasks. Helping and serving others might be the furthest thing from your mind. However, I know that even when I'm busy and I have a million things to do, God is still nudging at my heart to serve. No matter what season or day, God is still calling me to a love that is other-oriented and self-sacrificial.
If you feel like you can relate to these feelings, let me try to help by giving a few different service outlets that don't take too much time.
