Greetings!

Thank you for your partnership in our global ministry as we move into another season on the field, equipping ministers and leaders to serve Christ more effectively.

Jill and I arrived in Chartres, France on Sunday and will be here for three weeks. Please pray especially for the spiritual retreat we will be leading for a group of English-speaking Catholics and Protestants next week, each of whom is in a unique position of ministry and influence in America or Australia. This retreat is designed to help participants to listen closely to whatever God may want to say to them, and to let the Spirit lead them forward in fresh or better ways.

On October 7, we leave for Myanmar (Burma). This semester, I will be teaching "New Testament Theology" to 75 theological students, and "Spiritual Vitality for Life and Leadership" as an elective. October 24-28, we will be conducting our one-week, intensive leadership training course, "The Spirit-Led Leader," for about 30 pastors from as many as 23 different denominations.

While in the country, we also plan to distribute up to 1000 copies of The Spirit-Led Leader: Nine Leadership Practices and Soul Principles, and 1000 copies of One Step at a Time: A Pilgrim's Guide to Spirit-Led Living [read more on books ]. Burmese students and pastors are eager for both academic and practical teaching on spiritual growth and leadership, especially in the absence of many Ph.D. level professors and up-to-date materials.

Our Newest Staff Member!

  Andrew Lonsbury head shot

We are thrilled to welcome Andrew Lonsbury as the third and newest staff member of Faith, Hope and Love Global Ministries!

As Assistant to the President, Andrew will be maintaining day to day processes of the ministry while Tim and Jill are on the field. He will also be helping to develop Faith, Hope and Love's network of friends, collaborators, and supporters in the Minneapolis area.

Andrew is an outstanding addition to our staff, bringing creative energy, youthful enthusiasm, great faith, and a huge heart for those in need throughout the world. After graduating from the University of Minnesota in economics, he just completed a yearlong internship at Christ Presbyterian Church in the Mission Department. In addition to his part time work with Faith, Hope and Love Global, he is now pursuing a master's degree in International Leadership at St. Thomas University. All the while, on the side, Andrew continues to develop a children's ministry in Tanzania, a not-for-profit he co-founded with several friends in 2009 (see www.lavego.org. Welcome, Andrew!
