Weekly Wellness Tip from HAP
On the go exercise tip: Step lunges. Stand a couple feet behind a step with your feet about 6 inches apart from each other toes pointed forward. Inhale and step forward onto the step with one leg and lower your body to 90 degrees at both knees. Exhale and push up and back to the starting position and repeat with the opposite leg. Note: keep your weight on your heels and don't allow your knees to cross the plane of your toes. Also, step far enough that your foot is not haning off the edge of the step. Try five on each leg, or just until tired. Rest and then do a second set.

25th Annual Rochester Hills Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
The Greater Rochester Areas Are Buying Their Tickets for the 25th Rochester Hills Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
The 25th annual Christmas Parade Pancake Breakfast, sponsored by The Rochester Hills Kiwanis, will occur from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, December 4th, at the Older Persons' Commission (OPC) building, 650 Letica Drive, Rochester. Plan now to enjoy the secret pancake recipe cooked on specially seasoned cast iron grills. Until you have had a world famous Rochester Hills Kiwanis pancake, you haven't had a pancake.
This year Kiwanis is once again partnering with America's PRIDE groups from the middle and high schools in Oakland Township, Rochester and Rochester Hills. The Middle School America's PRIDE youth organization is a group of over 200 youngsters who are promoting a healthy lifestyle free from obesity, smoking, alcohol and drugs. They are sharing the message with their peers and with elementary aged students. The funds raised from the Pancake Breakfast will support this group.
Kiwanis has provided funding with a focus on young people - America's PRIDE youth organization, scholarships, winter coats, hearing aids, and other equipment for children who cannot afford them. The groups that have benefited from Kiwanis have been Rochester Neighborhood House, Rochester Auburn Hills Community Coalition, Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, and the OPC-just to name a few. The Pancake Breakfast is a tradition where families and friends gather for pancakes and sausage in a relaxed and fun atmosphere before watching the parade or just enjoying the best breakfast in town. There is also entertainment provided by the students.
Tickets are available at the door, America's Pride Group, Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce office and from any Rochester Hills Kiwanis member. Cost is $6 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under.
Anyone interested in membership in the Rochester Hills Kiwanis or pancake breakfast tickets can also call Chad Rinke (248) 651-2426.

Step Up Before It's Too Late!
Advertise in the Winter Issue of the Greater Rochester Area Lifestyle
Dear Chamber Members,
When the first issue of the Greater Rochester Area Lifestyle hit the street this past summer it immediately became a game changer for the Rochester community. Never before has Rochester had such an in-depth community resource guide with content specifically developed to maximize information and sustain a long shelf life. It is a great resource for new and long-term residents and a helpful tool for business development and acclimation.
The quality of Lifestyle's content is matched by its deep reach penetration in the Rochester area. Lifestyle is direct mailed to households and businesses in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township. It is also placed in strategic locations throughout the area for residents to access. Lifestyle is online on its own website (www.gralifestyle.com) and a number of other public access websites. Lastly, Lifestyle delivers a social media platform (www.facebook.com/gradailyplug) that provides advertisers a means of promoting their businesses each and every day.
Simply put, Lifestyle is both a great opportunity and value for Chamber members to consider for their advertising programs. One of a kind content, long shelf life, diversified distribution (direct mail print, interactive internet and social media platform) and Chamber endorsed - It's the complete package. However, the deadline for the winter issue is fast approaching and Lifestyle needs your participation. New, cost effective rates have been introduced to maximize value. Please contact Keaton Publications today to reserve your space in this upcoming issue. Lifestyle is a unique community resource guide and strategic asset for promoting the Chamber and its membership.
