Calling all artists! In honor of Sunflower's 20th anniversary we are creating a special limited edition t-shirt, and we need your help! We're looking for an artist (or artists) from our super-talented community to create original artwork for the shirt, as well as for other promotional materials throughout the year.
We'd love for you to share your creative voice with us!

Peace Day 2012 is this Saturday
Right now we're getting ready for Peace Day 2012-- working on art projects, songs, and slogans that we'll present at the celebration, Sept. 22, in Boca Raton (more info above).
Worms! and an onsite garden
Roots & Shoots members will be learning all about vermiculture (composting with worms!) and getting our hands dirty as we begin work on our onsite community garden.
Boca Community Garden
Middle and high school age members in Re-Cycos will be gardening at Boca Community Garden, on the first Saturday of the month, starting Nov.3. The garden is located next to the new downtown library, which is currently under construction. Produce will be donated to the Boca Helping Hands soup kitchen. This will be Roots & Shoots fourth year gardening for Boca Helping Hands. We are excited about our new location and being able to continue to provide a hundred plus pounds of fresh produce to those in need each year. |
