Peace Day is Sept. 22
This year's Roots & Shoots International Day of Peace celebration will be held at Sanborn Square in Boca Raton, Saturday, Sept. 22, 4:00-6:00 pm.All are invited to this fun FREE event for families! It's a Sunflower Roots & Shoots club tradition! The afternoon will feature peace crafts for all ages, recycled instrument-making, music, and a Children's Peace Parade with "Sunny" the Giant Peace Dove puppet.

Roots & Shoots is a free club for children, founded by Jane Goodall, that focuses on local social service projects showing caring and concern for the environment, animals and the human community. Calling all artists! In honor of Sunflower's 20th anniversary we are creating a special limited edition t-shirt, and we need your help! We're looking for an artist (or artists) from our super-talented community to create original artwork for the shirt, as well as for other promotional materials throughout the year.
