Phoestivus!!
Support Local, Build a Phoenix Tradition

Phoestivus Poster

The goal of Get Your PHX is to show up, en masse, to support those who pioneer new restaurants, stores, bars and event spaces. We want to provide them a boost as they put their sweat, tears and wealth on the line to make life great downtown. Plus, we want to provide a chance for you to meet others like you, who want to get the most out of Phoenix.

NOTE: if you are used to Get Your PHX being on Thursdays, please note that Phoestivus is the exception. This event is on Wednesdays!

There will be almost 70 vendors on each of our two Phoestivus Market nights: December 14th and December 21st.

There will be at least 7 food trucks: Short Leash, Hey Joe, Mojo Bowl, Emerson Fry Bread, Beet Street, Jamburritos and Mamma Toledo's Pies.

There will be feats of strength, airings of grievances and, yes, the Phoestivus pole.

There will be music. There will be after-parties. There will be so much more!

Support local businesses. Support community. Support our a new tradition. Spread the word!

And, or course, please support our sponsors: Phoenix Public Market, Get Your PHX, CenPho.com, Downtown Phoenix Journal, Downtown Phoenix Partnership, FilmBar, La Picolla Cucina, The Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA, Local First Arizona, Oasis on Grand, Phoenix Community Alliance, Phoenix New Times and Roosevelt Row.

Keep an eye on our Facebook Event Page for updates. Or, visit www.Phoestivus.com to learn more.

Amazing Homes on the Market..

Fairhope School

For Sale: 4,200 sqft. Historic Residence in Will, $999,900

I'm thrilled and honored to be listing 90 West Virginia, historically the Fairhope School. This 4,183 square foot Spanish Revival home is THE flagship Willo Neighborhood property, sitting on just over one acre. There is no other parcel of this size in Willo, as this home was once the Fairhope School.

The property is unique in Phoenix History. Please see my blog post to learn more about that and see more photos.

 Getting Short Sales Closed

The average days that a house sits on the market is actually going down dramatically this year. That tells you that people are making offers faster and short selling banks are getting answers quicker than last year. Check out my post about using smartphones to sell your home to learn more about the image, below.

Winter Home Trends

As a general rule, fewer people buy houses between October and February.

What does it mean for you? Well, it's great news if you're a soon to be home buyer. As you can see by the graphs, sales per month is down between October and February while the monthly supply stays relatively the same. Aren't graphs amazing?

Aveda Install

So, follow me here. If the sales per month are down and the inventory stays largely the same that's great for you if you are a buyer. It means that sellers are more desperate to sell. Not only are you going to have a greater selection, you might have an opportunity to negotiate the price!

So, get out into the cool weather and buy! If  you have any questions I'd be happy to help, just give me a call 602-456-9388.

CenPho Community

The Tumbleweed Youth Center, near the downtown ASU Campus, had been providing a safe environment for homeless or displaced youth in Phoenix for decades. But when a growing homeless population met an impending foreclosure, the center was forced to look for a new location that would meet their needs on a budget.

Jim McPherson is one of a group of people working to decorate Central Avenue for the season to help promote patronage and general Christmas cheer. Learn more here.
