Teresa Ward is excited to find her "Mini Me"!

Teresa's Family Cleaning, a cleaning company based out of Rocky Point Long Island has announced their annual Search For The Next Teresa Girl, a spokesperson contest open to Long Island women.

Between charity work, fundraising, networking and running her company, Teresa Ward, founder of Teresa's Family Cleaning in Rocky Point, found herself spread a little thin. To combat this, her and her staff came up with the idea for finding a spokesperson or her "mini me", and with that, the Teresa Girl Contest was born.

"My staff and I got together to try to come up with a way for me to be in more than one place at a time," Ward said. "That's how the Teresa Girl contest began. Summer is a time for fun, and we thought this contest would be exactly that. Our "Teresa Girl" can be a stand in for me at marketing events, spread the word about our charitable work, and even be featured in our how to videos."

Live interview auditions for the Second Annual "Are You the next Teresa Girl" will be held from 5-9pm on July 27th at the Viana Hotel and Spa  and on August 24th at Porto Vivo 5-9pm. The winner will be crowned on September 28th at Barringtons from 7-10pm with music to follow. All participants must register online at teresagirl.com.

"Being a Teresa Girl is all about personality," Ward said. "You've got to be charming and personable. The Teresa Girl we're looking for should be fun, and full of energy. Because she'll be a spokesperson, she's got to be able to perform on camera and be well spoken and comfortable in public. As for looks, think Mad Men chic. We're looking for a retro girl, and we've got full contest rules and more info on the site."
