In Honor of Brian McGrath
Jack's Team member Kathleen McGrath and daughter Aisling McGrath have organized a special cancer awareness
fundraiser in honor of husband and father, Brian J. McGrath, who lost his battle with Melanoma in 2005 at the
age of 36.
The fundraiser, The Notion of Self: Cancer
Community Awareness, will take
place at Batavia's Katrina Salon & Spa on Sunday, March 21, 2010,
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This special event is intended to bring community
awareness to the struggle cancer patients face to maintain a sense of identity
and lead a normal life while battling cancer.
This multidimensional event will collect hair donations to
be transformed to wigs for cancer patients and monetary donations in support of
Jack's Fund. Kathleen plans to run
the 2010 Chicago Marathon on Jack's Team in honor of Brian.

Jack's Fund participates in shirt donation to Haiti.
Thank you to Chicago Athlete Magazine for coordinating an effort to gather and donate 5,000 T-shirts. The T-shirts were donated to the people of Haiti by way of the Haitian Congress to Fortify Haiti charity organization. Shirts were driven to Florida and shipped by boat to earthquake victims.
