Hello

Here at Get In Touch, we declare October National Breast HEALTH Awareness Month!

It's the healthy practice of getting in touch with your body through breast self examination, after all, that is the cornerstone mission of our global educational initiative.

We are passionate about providing Daisy Wheels at NO COST to schools and girls all over the world - and we are only able to do this with your equally passionate support.

Our free program reaches girls in all 50 states and in 21 countries.  Our free app has been downloaded in 66 countries.

And we have YOU to thank for that!  Your donations, no matter the size, make it possible.

Please consider hosting a "GIT Your Pink On!" Day at your school, or your office or work place - you can find more information on how to do that, below.

On behalf of my sisters all over the globe, I thank you for joining me as Get In Touch continues to keep them informed and educated about the importance of breast health!

Hope Lives!

National "GIT Your Pink On!"® Day

October 19 is National "GIT Your Pink On!" Day, when we encourage all schools who've benefitted from our Girls' Program to "pay it forward" by asking students and faculty to wear pink and donate $1, making it possible for GIT to bring the program to other schools around the country and around the world.  Is your school hosting an event? It's easy!  Click here to sign up, and add your school to the growing list of participants.  Dont' forget to email us pics!

If you're a business interested in hosting a "GIT Your Pink On!" Day, we've even got a special flyer for you to customize to promote the day and join the fun!  Click here if you're a business and we'll add your name to our list of generous participants - and please be sure and email us some pictures!

Proclamations and Flags, oh my!
 Proclamation
So proud to receive a Proclamation from my friends, Milford Mayor Ben Blake and
CT State Rep. Kim Hunter Rose, at a recent Board of Aldermen meeting, declaring October 19th "GIT Your Pink On!" Day in my hometown of Milford as well as in the great state of Connecticut!  Our one-of-a-kind GIT flag is flying high outside
Milford's City Hall all month, too!  (Thanks to Milford's Marvin Display for our flag!)

October's a Busy Month

We hope you'll "GIT Your Pink On!"® at one of these events and help GIT while having some fun:

Pennsylvania:  Our friends at Melt Grill will host their second Little Pink Dress party on October 18.  If you're in the Center Valley area, stop by and support GIT while enjoying a wonderful Italian meal with a modern twist.

Cuddles' Cupcake Bar will donate a portion of their profits to GIT for the entire month, so if you're in the Bethlehem area, stop by for a delicious treat, knowing that your indulgence will make a difference in girls' lives.

LoveLossConnecticut:  On Sunday, October 21, New Haven's Lyric Hall Theater and M&M Productions will present "Love, Loss and What I Wore," a play by Nora Ephron and her sister Delia Ephron.  Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction will benefit GIT. The show starts at 2pm.  If it sells out, they'll add a second show at 7pm.  Hope you can come support GIT and have a wonderful time in New Haven!

On Wednesday, October 3, Milford Radio will host its second annual Pink Party at Cafe Atlantique from 5-8pm.  A free concert with The Elwoods, cupcakes from Sweet Melissa's, and all sorts of other treats will be available.

For more info about these and other events that support us, please contact info@getintouchfoundation.org or call 203-283.5127.

Get In Touch "takes the cake!"

Natalie Booth won "Best In Show" at Connecticut's Orange Country Fair in the Junior (up to age 15) Category by baking this beautiful "Get In Touch" cake!

Her mom, Angela, is a breast cancer survivor.

Congratulations, Natalie, on your win and a big thank you for thinking of GIT, too!

BCC Rally in Charlotte "Gets In Touch!"

I was delighted to have been invited to be the speaker at the BCC Rally Luncheon last month in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Here I am with one of the golf foursomes,

all wearing our "GIT Your Pink On!" Day shirts!
