"Walking the course today I saw the sun kind of peek through the clouds and I know she's here. I dedicate everything I've done to her."

Hello , The London 2012 Olympics are still underway and while I certainly celebrate each athlete from each country, whether they medal or not, there is one special young lady I especially celebrate, admire, and love.
Taylor Ritzel is the daughter of Lana Ritzel, the inspiration behind the "Laces For Lana" campaign that the Yale Women's Crew team began to benefit Get In Touch after Lana's passing from breast cancer in November 2010.
Taylor promised her mother she would continue her quest for a seat in an Olympic boat...and I promised Taylor I would be there when she raced.
Promises fulfilled...Taylor raced to Gold in the US Women's 8+ boat on August 3rd...and I was there to cheer her on!
A mother's legacy...a daughter's promise...nothing could stand in the way.
Please enjoy the pics (scroll to the end of this newsletter) of our traveling Daisy Wheel, spotted all over London-town during our 2012 Olympics adventure - including one very special Gold medal photo-op!

Laces in London!
We couldn't be more proud of Taylor Ritzel (fourth from left) and her teammates on the U.S. Women's 8+ Olympic Rowing team, winning GOLD for Team USA!
The U.S. Women's 8+ have been big supporters of "Laces For Lana," and since these ladies have been sporting their laces for over a year now, we believe a fair amount of training took place in them...and so we are honored and know in our hearts that when you wear "Laces For Lana," great things can happen!
Have you got your laces yet? If not, check them out here.
Click here to see an interview with Taylor about the gold medal win,
and here to see an interview with her sister and dad.
Can you tell how proud we are?!

Tennis, Anyone?
Lehigh Country Club was pinker than usual on July 19, when pink-clad players participated in our first Pretty in Pink Tennis Event. It was a great morning of camaraderie while building awareness and raising funds for GIT.
