Hello

It's official - our Get In Touch Girls' Program & Daisy Wheels have made it into all 50 states!

It took us just 1,022 days since launching our program to sign up schools in every single state - from sea to shining sea!

I have just returned from San Francisco and the National Association of School Nurses Conference, where 1,300 School Nurses were together for four days of education, networking and exhibits. (see pics below)

Thrilled to be a keynote speaker for the final day of the conference, I also gave a break-out session on the first day that had the room at capacity.

Delighted to have dazzled the School Nurses in attendance from Hawaii and Oregon (the last two states to sign up) with our groundbreaking Daisy Wheels, once placing their order, they made it official for us - Daisy Wheels now in all 50 states!  50 reasons to celebrate!

it was oh-so-sweet to make this announcement during my talk, and even sweeter when 1,300 School Nurses burst into applause!

NASN has been a great supporter of Get In Touch, and we would like to publicly extend our thanks to them for all they have done - they have helped "make our mission a movement."

Spotlight on Schools:   NASN Conference

This month, our spotlight is on the wonderful nurses who care so well for our students across the US.  I had the privilege of being a keynote speaker at the National Association of School Nurses conference in San Francisco in June, and had a raucously good time with the 1,300 in attendance during my talk, "Choose Joy!"

Here are a few pictures from the conference of some of the remarkable women - and a few men - who care for our most precious gift, our children.

Before winging my way back east, I conquered a childhood fear and walked across the 75-year old Golden Gate Bridge with my daughter, Betsy, who was my trusty-assistant on this trip.

There is only one way to conquer your fear - put one foot in front of the other and keep walking!  Symbolic?  Oh, yes!

Laces for Little Ones, Too

Not only are women athletes wearing them, but they seem to be popular with little ones, too!  Check out Ainsley in her mom's sneakers, sporting a great pair of the laces that are helping us change the world, one girl at a time.

Choose Joy flower basket
1.  Make time for family and friends.

2.  Volunteer.

3.  Explore a faith life if you don't have one and if you do, embrace it even more.

4.  Appreciate what you do have instead of what you don't have.

5.  Live in the moment.

6.  Make eye contact with a stranger and smile.

7.  Surround yourself with happy people.

8.  Be a model of gratitude - it inspires others to be joyful!
