Peggy Rettie & kids - Sigonella MS, Italy

Meet School Nurse Peggy Rettie, pictured here with some of her students
from Sigonella Middle School
in Sicily, Italy.
Here's what Peggy had to say about the Get In Touch Girls' Program & Daisy Wheels in her school:

"Overall I had a very positive response with the attendees and feel I've developed a bond with them!       As a result, I've started a monthly health awareness talk during lunch
and check on their progress with BSE.

Just today, I learned that a mother of one of our 8th grade girls was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Your website and outreach program is helping a lot of teens right now!

Thank you again for all that you do and sharing your life with us all!"

public hearing on the breast density statute (bill no. 259) at the CT State Legislature.

Food Rules

Here are 8 more of Michael Pollan's 63 "Food Rules..."

#36      Don't eat breakfast cereals that change the color of the milk.

#37      The whiter the bread, the sooner you'll be dead.

#47      Eat when you are hungry, not when you are bored.

#51      Spend as much time enjoying the meal as it took to prepare it.

#54      Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper.

#57      Don't get your fuel from the same place your car does.

#58      Do all your eating at a table.

#59      Try not to eat alone.

...you really are what you eat...what ARE you?!
