Hello ,

The (wet!) dog days of summer are waning and it's back-to-school for many...

Daisy Wheels are in high demand in this great big United States of America - our phone has been ringing off the hook all summer long from the wonderful school nurses we met with at the National Association of School Nurses Conference in June!

It's not too late to get your school on board - "get in touch" with us and we'll make it happen!

Hope Lives!

      Gayle Forman   If I Stay

Check out what my friend, writer Gayle Forman has to say about GIT in KUDOS
on our website!

Gayle is a Young Adult favorite - her new book, "If I Stay" is a heartachingly beautiful book about the power of love, the true meaning of family, and the choices we all make.

Gayle loves to write young adult novels, taking fantastical journeys with those
between the ages of 12 and 20.  GIT loves this age group, too!

Philanthropists among us...
This beautiful Bride & Groom were wed on July 25, 2009 and decided to forego the traditional 'favors' for their guests in lieu of a donation to their favorite charity...GIT!!!
A marriage that starts out by thinking of those in need is a blessed marriage, indeed!
Congratulations & Thank You, Mr. & Mrs. Millington!

Are You Dense?

CT Governor Rell Signs Breast Density Bill Into Law That Will
Focus on the Early Detection of Cancer

S.B. 458 requires all mammography reports given to a patient on and after October 1, 2009 to include information about breast density. When applicable, the report must include the following notice: If your mammogram demonstrates that you have dense breast tissue, which could hide small abnormalities, you might benefit from supplementary screening tests, which can include a breast ultrasound screening or a
breast MRI examination, or both, depending on your individual risk factors.

If you are interested in proposing similar legislation in your state, please contact
Nancy Cappello, PhD, Founder & President of "Are You Dense?"
at www.AreYouDense.org.
