Team Selection
We will be selecting teams for the 2008 season starting Saturday, March 15th and finishing up on Tuesday, March 18th (tentatively). If you have not heard from your coach by Monday, March 24th, please contact us at postmaster@hi-white.org.
Colt and Senior teams will be formed most likely at the end of March. Colt and Senior seasons begin in June and end in July.
We use a draft process for all ages where coaches take turns selecting players one at a time. We accept requests, but can't guaranty that they will be honored. Our primary goal is to provide balanced competitive teams. Thank you for your understanding. |
Hi-White Equipment Exchange

The Equipment Exchange will be held at Highland Station (the old Highland Township Library, it is an old church building) which is on the southwest corner of John St. and Livingston St. in Highland.

Lansing Lugnuts Game
This year, Hi-White will be sponsoring a game to go see the Lansing Lugnuts on Sunday, June 8th. Game time is 2:05 PM and the Lugnuts will be playing the Fort Wayne Wizards.
We will be holding a drawing to randomly select 18 players in the league to go into the dugout before the game to meet the players and be called out on the field for the National Anthem. We will also be holding a contest to choose someone to sing the National Anthem before the game.
Tickets are $8 per person and we will be sitting on the 3rd base line.
Thanks to all who responded to the survey. Less than half indicated they would attend the Tigers game at $22. About 90% indicated they would attend the Lugnuts game. Overall, 75% preferred the Lugnuts game over the Tigers game.
More details about the game and contests will be sent out in April via email.

We are also looking for a volunteer to update and enhance our web site on a regular basis.
Finally, we are looking for an individual to help with our Bookkeeping. Any candidates should be proficient with QuickBooks.

Adult Umpires
For our competitive divisions (ages 9 and up), we will be using predominantly adult umpires this year. We are providing additional training which should result in a much improved quality of officiating than in previous years. | |
