| Some people seem born with their future clearly defined while others spend their lives wielding a proverbial sickle to slog through self-doubt in search of clarity.
Elizabeth Taylor was one of the former. After National Velvet, which she did when she was 12, she became a super-star actress and a public obsession.
We were riveted as we watched this impossibly beautiful woman live her life the way we imagined movie stars should live; large, lavishly, and always in the limelight. Big talent, big loves, big jewels, and big demons-she handled them all with exuberance.
She's credited with giving birth to today's celebrity obsessed paparazzi culture. Someone had to do it.
