Lounging In a Paris Window
 |
The idea of boots up the ying yang at any age over 25 seems best left to trout fisherman, foreign fashion editors, and enterprising ladies of the evening. But, the way-up-to-there trend was all over Paris stores.
The way Parisian women interpreted it is a glimpse of what makes French style so fascinating. They mix everything with classics. Nothing looks like it came out of left-field, and though women were wearing high boots, nothing we saw on the street went much above the knee.
The boots to consider and how to wear them:
| |
|
The low heeled riding boot:
This is really versatile. It looks great with a slim pant leg tucked into it and or worn underneath the pant leg. It also works with well with a skirt.
Aerosole Override, $200.

The high-heeled high boot.
The higher the heel and the higher the boot the harder to wear. Assimilating thigh-high stilettos into an existing wardrobe depends on a high comfort level with looking like a 50 year old rock-star or worse...
This Stuart Weitzman 'Sohot' boot, $ 595.
