The Life of Party Awards (LOPA)

|
There were a few overlooked categories at this years Golden Globe awards ceremony. So we created them here.
Perhaps carnivorous media coverage makes all but the bravest afraid to appear without being scrubbed of imperfections. Armies of
stylist and publicists make sure their clients are turned out
without a shred of nuttiness or bad taste.
Thank goodness some of the strong prevail; otherwise the
whole event would be as boring as a bowl of plain oatmeal. But with a little salt and a few nuts you
have a great breakfast, or a party with a pulse.

Cher Takes Female LOPA

|

|
We GET You Babe! As an Academy Awards presenter in 2000, Cher apologized to the academy for "dressing like a grown-up," and promised never to do it again. Since then, she hasn't disappointed us by going back on her word. We'd bet that even buck naked Cher exudes a certain costume.

Mickey Rourke Takes Male LOPA

|
Still in for the count! He disappeared from the screen at the height of a sizzling
career to trade hard knocks in the movie business for a career in boxing. After almost 10 years of kissing canvas
and admittedly bad surgical repair jobs, he reappeared, humbled and hardly
recognizable. But what we loved most
about him remained, his unabashed pursuit of whatever floats his boat including
gritty acting roles, left-of center style, and a teenage bride.

The Truthteller LOPA

|
A Story Is A Terrible Thing to Waste.
Before video games existed Quentin Tarantino immersed himself
in movies and pulp fiction. He went on to make a career out of a lifelong
obsessions with Dashiell Hammett, spaghetti westerns, and old action films.
He
and his movies have a cult-like following, giving him the right dress like
Robinhood or any other character he chooses.

|
Trophy Wife LOPA
He's proud of his 33 year marriage which, in Hollywood, it's
as rare as The Hope Diamond.
We're glad
he won the award for best actor in a movie (Crazy Heart). We give him one for
his Trophy Wife too.
