Franklin Farmers Market
October 12th, 10 am to 2 pm
Franklin, Delaware County

Come out for a great line-up of attractions to celebrate the last day of the market! Tour historic homes in the Village of Franklin while riding on a horse-drawn wagon.  The Babcocks of Handsome Brook Farm will lead the way with their Belgian draft horses. Inside Chapel Hall, enjoy the works of local artists as well as traditional folk music.  And be sure to make it to the demonstration of cider pressing!

Millers Harvest Festival
Hanford Mills Museum

East Meredith, Delaware County
Museum admission: $7 adults, $3.50 children

See the gristmill and other food processing machinery at work. Explore the skill of craftspeople and farmers at work. Demonstrations of the museum's steam engine and other industrial and agricultural machinery. Sample food cooked in the historic John Hanford Farmhouse, and try traditional harvest-related crafts and activities. Shop from local farmers at the special harvest market!

Take home fresh and local farm products including maple syrup, eggs and pumpkins -- all grown right on the farm. Taste the Catskills... cider donuts, Frost Valley Farm chili, hot cocoa! Tour the farm camp, meet the animals, learn wool felting and spinning, bring home a handmade candle and enjoy live string band music! Don't miss the fun!


Honoring Our Youth

The Delaware County Youth Bureau's Annual Youth Awards Banquet is looking for contributions from our community.  The annual dinner celebrates the volunteerism of youth and adults throughout Delaware County. Wish list items include Christmas trees, Thanksgiving turkeys, holiday gifts and gift certificates. Each item donated will be hand delivered to a family in need by a young volunteer. All donors will receive recognition for their contribution. The event has an attendance of over 100 people.
