 The Face of Farming

The faith, struggle and joy of working the land are reflected in the faces of five Middletown area farm families in a multi-media exhibit of oil portraits, photographs, watercolors, video footage, and excerpts of recorded interviews captured by Roxbury artist Ellen Wong. Meet the Farmers featured in the series at the reception this weekend.

The Meet the Farmer dinner series concludes this Saturday at Stone & Thistle Farm with special guests from Shaver-Hill Farm.  Learn about making maple syrup and enjoy a wonderful meal of foods from the two farms.  The full menu is online here.

Focused on packaging and labeling meat products for sale direct to customers. Learn tips from Clarence Davis, Food Inspector with NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets, Division of Food Safety & Inspection. Mr. Davis will speak regarding the rules and regulations for selling meat and poultry products for sale direct to customers.
