SPRING TOWN HALL MEETING MARCH 19
Report on the Midtown Community Survey

Consideration of Fiscal Year 2009 Proposed budget

You are invited to join us for the Midtown Community Benefit District's Spring Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday evening March 19 at 7:00 pm at the Associated Jewish Federation, Mount Royal at Maryland Avenue. The buisness meeting is precceded by a dessert reception.

The spring meeting is our annual opportnity to present our next year's projected budget to the community for consideration and input.  Our Budget and Finance Committee will present the FY2009 budget to our board of directors for preliminary approval at the board meeting on March 5th. Once the board gives preliminary approval, the proposed budget will be posted to Midtown's website, www.midtowncommunity.org, and it will be available in printed copy at the Midtown Offices, 1221 North Calvert Street.  After considering community input at the March 19th meeting, the board will approve the proposal with any adjustments at its April meeting.

The highlight of the spring meeting will be the first public presentation of the results of the community wide survey conducted for the District by the University of Baltimore's Schaefer Center for Public Policy.  Dr. Ann Cotten, Director of the Schaefer Center will present a basic outline of the community's response to questions regarding priorities for the future and accomplishments of the district since its inception twelve years ago.  A question and answer period will follow.
