SyracuseCoE Receives USGBC LEED Platinum Award
The SyracuseCoE headquarters building has recently been awarded LEEDŽ Platinum-level certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the nation's top program for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. The SyracuseCoE headquarters was designed to meet the highest level of LEED standards. LEED uses a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
