| Krait Prestige Champagne Lager | | |
This champagne lager is bottle conditioned and 8% ABV. Though an Indian brand, Krait Prestige is brewed in Belgium at the world famous Rodenbach brewery. The beer is extra smooth, less gassy, and incredibly drinkable. Krait Prestige is a pilsner- type beer brewed with the finest barley malt, maize, hops and rice; it follows a process normally reserved for Trappist ales. Grab one soon at the introductory price of $6.99 for the corked-n-caged 25.4oz bottle.
Also look for the Krait glasses, which include a nucleation etch that release the aromatics while you drink!

Cool German Beer Bottles
| |
The bottles are cool, but the German beer inside is even better. Uerige Doppelsticke is a rotating release 8.5% ABV Altbier. Consider this style as malt-and-hop-driven German interpretation of a barleywine. It pours a beautiful shade of dark amber, features roasty malts, with raisin and plum notes, and has a roasty bitter finish at 75 IBUs. And it scores 100% for the style on RateBeer.com. Leipziger Gose is a traditional style called "Gose" that's brewed with 60% wheat, 40% barley malt, and is spiced with coriander, salt, and lactic acid bacteria. The result is a 4.6% ABV eclectic beer. Just 4 bottles remain.

Hitachino Nest Ancient Nipponia
| | |
Ancient Nipponia is brewed using a forgotten strain of Japanese barley and historic Sorachi Ace hops. The barley was last grown about 50 years ago. Mr. Kiuchi acquired 16 seeds from the Department of Agricultural History in Japan and planted those seeds on a 2x2 foot area about five years ago. Each year he harvested the seeds and replanted until he had enough to brew this special beer. 1/person limit.
Also look for these Hitachino Nest beers: XH Sake-Cask Aged, Cedar-Aged Classic IPA, Commemorative Ale, Espresso Stout, Weizen and Ginger.

Old Danish Braggot
| | |
The Vikings drank an old Danish braggot called Mjonsol at festive occasions as a special treat for kings. Dansk Mjod, makers of Viking Blod mead, recreate the drink of ancient Vikings by blending Orbaek beer and GI Dansk Mjod, a hop and ginger mead, to create Old Danish Braggot. The resulting braggot is 10.5% ABV, pours a deep brown color with a soft thin head, and little carbonation. The aroma is spicy and the flavor is sweet, rich, and full, finishing with a dry malt aftertaste. Pair it with ginger desserts. Limited availability; just 11 bottles remain.
Aecht Schlenkerla Smoke Biers
| | The world famous smokebeers return from Bamberg, Germany! Marzen is brewed with smoke malts that impart an intensely smoky flavor, giving this beer the nickname "bacon beer." Urbock is a smoked bock that's been matured for months in ancient rock cellars; it's bigger in flavor than the Marzen. Weizen has a light smoky aroma and is brewed with unsmoked wheat malts and smoked barely malts.
Lurgashall Christmas Mead
| | A really well balanced mead, with a sweet honey flavor. When mulled with the spice packet, you get a great overlying taste of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Lovely mulled mead in the cold weather or when you have a cold. Medium sweet; 12.5% ABV. 16.9oz. Only 6 bottles available.
Einbecker Pils, Schwarz and N/A
| | More of our special order beers from Germany, with limited availability. Einbecker beers are known for their refreshing quality. Brauherren Pils is a classic tangy beer that's highly regarded by Pils lovers, 4.9% ABV. The Nonalcoholic (N/A) is a real Einbecker Brauherren Pils, which has the alcohol carefully extracted to just 0.3% after the beer has reached maturation. The Schwarzbier has mild flavors of molasses, licorice, caramel, and roast barley.
| The Lost Abbey Deliverance | | Deliverance is the first release of The Lost Abbey's embodiment of good vs. Evil. This highly anticipated limited release is a barrel-aged blend of Bourbon-barrel aged Serpent's Stout and Brandy-barrel aged Angel's Share. It pours a dark mahogany with a very small head. The aromas and flavors are of rich bourbon, dark fruits, chocolate, oaky vanilla, and roasty malts. Serve it in a brandy snifter and consider pairing with a fine cigar. 12.5% ABV
| Farsons Lacto | | Brewed according to the original 1946 recipe, this milk stout has sweet flavors of chocolate and caramel, with nutty and milky notes, followed by a bittersweet finish. It's one of Michael Jackson's 500 Classic Brews. If you're a fan of the milk stouts from St. Peters, Left Hand, Sheaf, Dicks, and Samuel Adams, be sure to pick up a bottle of Farsons Lacto.
| Flashback | | First brewed in 2009 to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Boulder Brewing, Flashback is back in 2010! This India Brown Ale is brewed with five additions of Cascade hops that give a prominent citrus aroma and flavor that balance beautifully with the crisp, clean dry dark roasty flavors of the biscuit and chocolate malts. 6.8% ABV
| Rosey Nosey | | Put a Christmas glow on your nose with a sip of Rosey Nosey! This English ale has a roasty character that's balanced with hops and complements turkey dinners. 4.9% ABV, 35 IBU
Bellegems Bruin
| | |
Originally called "Ouden Tripel," this ancient West Flanders Brown Beer is brewed with malted barley, wheat, hops, water, and caramelized malts. The beer is then blended with a lambic beer aged in oak for 18 months, creating a well- balanced barely noticeable sourness. An incredibly drinkable beer at 5.5% ABV, and a good intro to the sour beer styles.
Silver City Imperial Stout | | A holiday seasonal release from Silver City Brewing of Silverdale, this stout won silver and gold medals at the 2004 & 2005 North American Beer Awards. It pours an extreme black and has a massive roast malt character, teetering on char when served very cold; big chocolate and dark fruity notes come forth as it warms toward room temperature. Well-hopped with Chinook. 9.2% ABV
Santa's Little Helper
| | A hugely complex and full Imperial Stout, with bittersweet roasted malts. Enjoy the complex flavors of caramel, raisin, dark chocolate, rich dark fruits, espresso, piney hops, and a boozy creaminess. Pair it with after-dinner chocolates. Excellent on BeerAdvocate. 9.5% ABV
21st Amendment Fireside Chat
| | Back in March 1933 Franklin D. Roosevelt conducted his first "Fireside Chat." That year FDR also signed a bill legalizing beer containing up to 3.2% alcohol by volume. And on December 5th the 21st Amendment was enacted. So can you think of a better way to celebrate winter other than a mug filled with this big, spiced malt bomb of a beer? 7.9% ABV, 45 IBUs
Father John's Winter Ale
| | Howe Sound Brewing of British Columbia has done it again ...they've created another incredibly delicious beer! This winter ale is rich and malty, brewed with four different malts, Nugget & Hallertau hops, and a potpourri of Christmas spices, such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger. The beer comes in a recloseable, reusable "Pot Stopper" bottle that was widely used in Europe and North America prior to the 1950s.

99 Bottles Club EventWe listened to the feedback from 99 Bottles Club members after last year's event, and the overwhelming consensus was for a "sit down affair" in 2010. Though this decreases the number of tickets available and increases the ticket price, we've taken your feedback and have gone with it... This year's event will feature eight courses of beer paired with cheese, plus fruit platters, fresh baked bread and whipped butter. And as usual, those in attendance will receive 15% off all regular priced beer, mead, cider, and beer-gear purchased that evening. This year's 99 Bottles Club Event will be at 99 Bottles after-hours on Sunday, Nov. 28th - advance ticket with ID is REQUIRED for entry. This event will sell out fast. Tickets will go on sale at 99 Bottles at 12:00 noon on November 1st.
(If you're a 99 Bottles Club member unable to make this ticketed event, don't be sad... there'll be a lot more special events throughout the year in 2011.) Ivar's 3rd Annual Fall Cider Festival Thursday, November 11th at Ivar's Salmon House, North Lake Union in Seattle. Just 140 tickets are made available to this event each year. Enjoy two rooms of cider and an incredible spread of hors d'ouvres crafted by Ivar's chefs to pair with the ciders -- all this for just $35. There are no tokens or tickets to mess with. An excellent event; be sure to arrange to stay overnight or have a designated driver...these alcoholic ciders are sneaky buggers. Buy tickets online via Brown Paper Tickets.
