Many beers have arrived since the last edition of The Weekly Brews, which I'm sure you realize if you've been keeping up with us on facebook. Since I've had a full schedule in June, I've been a bit slow on getting the newsletter out, causing the The Weekly Brews to be more bi-weekly. However, we've still got plenty of new and returning beers for you to choose from for your upcoming celebrations.
Orders for brewery cases and kegs for 4th of July are due at 99 Bottles on Tuesday, June 29th. Beers & ciders that are in-stock at the local distributors will arrive at 99 Bottles on/by Friday the 2nd. Phone orders are welcome, or you can come in to place your order. For a list of 1,200 kegs, check out the Order Kegs page on our website.
We are currently accepting applications for a 99 Bottles Beer Clerk. We hope the next member of the 99 Bottles family will get time to work with Vincent before he heads to grad school. The job has expanded to 36 hours per week, and the core job duties include accurately processing sales and receiving product, and having knowledge of our beer selection. Get more info on duties and requirements, and get an application on our website. COEDO Premium Beers from Japan | | Brewed by 7 craftsmen in the town of Kawagoe, which has handed down the traditions of Edo era to today.
Shikkoku is fermented for an extended period of time; like the famed elegant jet-black lacquer work of Japan, it pours a glossy black tone.
Kyara is golden brown with tinges of red, with rich and full-bodied malts; it's named after the incredibly fragrant Aloeswood tree.
Beniaka is fermented for an extended period of time and features an aromatic sweetness. It is brewed with the roasted Kintoki sweet potatoes of the Kawagoe region. |
|

|
| Laverstoke English Organic Ale | |
A traditional English bottle-conditioned ale with a remarkably full flavor. Brewed with traditional hops and barley grown on the Laverstoke farm in England. The farm is both biodynamic and organic as it boasts a microbiology lab that continuously tests the soils, adding compost and compost teas
so the biology in the soil has the right proportions of beneficial bacteria
and fungi for the hops and barley to be at their best and most flavorsome.

Final Call for Prohibition
| | The rest of the Speakeasy beers are already gone, but Prohibition is still available for a limited time at 99 Bottles. Prohibition has been one of our customer's favorite amber ales since 2007 and we're sad to see it leave the state. Prohibition strikes a perfect balance
between caramel maltiness and its aggressive hopping. 94/100 on RateBeer.com 6.1% ABV

Mateveza Caffeinated Black Lager
| | The Caffeine Examiner likes this beer and says it best: "Black lagers are something special in the beer universe, as they are not quite a
meal like a porter, but not milky and smooth like a stout. Black lager is like
Dark Chocolate -- as it takes the right amount of bitter and sweet, malt and hop
to really get the flavor perfect."
|
|
Rocket Dog Rye IPA
| |
No wonder there's a hop shortage. Brewed special for the OBF, Rocket Dog launches four types of hops at five different intervals into this brew. Roasted barley and rye, pale and Munich malts give this beer a red tint. Fermented a little on the dry side, this thirst-quencher is a hop lover's dream. 6.9% ABV

|
Great Divide Chocolate Oak-Aged Yeti
| | The newest incarnation of the revered Yeti imperial stout, with the hops toned down a bit to allow the cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while the vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. Limited availability; summer release 9.5% ABV

| Save on Left Hand Closeouts!
| | That's right... two beers from Left Hand Brewing are on closeout, saving you $3-4 per bottle!
St. Vrain
Tripel pours a hazy
golden. Its spicy aroma with hints of wild
flower honey and orange blossom is your first clue of its depth. The malts are like bittersweet honey and dried fruits, with a lingering earthiness from the Styrian Golding hops. 9% ABV
The National Smokejumpers Association has made SmokeJumper their
"Official Beer." This imperial smoked porter is for smoke in your glass, not
in the woods.
9.8% ABV
