Firestone Walker appears to be committed to bringing more of its draft-only barrel-aged beers into bottles for the first time with the introduction of the Proprietors Reserve Series.
Here is the beer description: "We present Parabola, the first-ever bottling of this barrel-aged Imperial Stout. Just 1,000 cases [22 oz. bottles] were produced. This bold beer features nuances of bourbon and tobacco aroma. Rich dark chocolate flavors meld with charred oak, dark cherry and espresso finishing smooth on the palate. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect addition to chocolate desserts."
Parabola arrived at 99 Bottles on Monday afternoon, May 17. As of sending this BrewsFlash on Tuesday, May 18, we have just over a case-and-a-half to sell. As with all special releases, no holds; first come, first serve. We have set a 2 bottle limit per customer, so connoisseurs can buy one to enjoy now plus a second for the cellar. 99 Bottles opens at 10AM today.
