Beer & D'Oh-Nuts!
Try 3 Beers & have a donut for $3.50,
Saturday 10:00 a.m 'til noon

Duff 'n D'Oh-Nuts images ŠThe Simpsons & FoxYes, of course, beer and donuts!! No, we haven't gone mad...yet. For those of you who've attended our beer & cake celebrations, you've learned first-hand that baked goods pair great with beer. Afterall, both share key ingredients such as water, grains, and yeast. Even Ben & Jerry's recognize this pairing when they created the "Duff 'n D'Oh-Nuts" (2007, limited release ice cream for The Simpsons Movie). While I'm not yet convinced that a lager is the best partner for a donut, everyone knows that coffee and donuts are the perfect partners. So an obvious choice in this pairing is a beer that tastes like coffee or mocha... and just wait to see what other beers we explore this time. Still skeptical? Stop in and find out for yourself!

Saturday, May 15 ˇ 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Tasting Fee: $3.50
99 Bottles Club Member Tasting Fee: $2.50
Pouring: 3 beers, served with a fresh donut

Alaskan Raspberry WheatAlaskan Brewing Co. announces the launch of their new "Pilot Series" of limited edition specialty beers with Alaskan Raspberry Wheat Ale, released in May 2010. The Alaskan Pilot Series will feature a rotating collection of big, bold and distinctive brews packaged in 22 oz bottles.

"Each new recipe is first created on our 1-barrel experimental brewhouse, perfected in our 10-barrel pilot brewhouse, then put to the test through our Rough Draft series of draft-only beers distributed in Alaska," explains Alaskan Production Manager Dave Wilson. Those special brews that stand out to the Brew Crew and their fans in Alaska graduate to a limited release in the Alaskan Pilot Series. "Alaskan Raspberry Wheat has been one of our favorite Rough Drafts." Alaskan Raspberry Wheat is an American-style wheat ale highlighting the bright flavors and inviting aroma of more than 3,000 pounds of real raspberries added during fermentation. The tart flavor of raspberries balances the full-bodied wheat profile and malt sweetness of this enticingly red-hued brew. Bigger than most traditional fruit beers, Alaskan Raspberry Wheat has a little extra kick to its dry and effervescent finish.

Tettnang and East Kent Golding hops add a sweet and spicy citrus aroma, while dry-hopping with Glacier hops further balances the aromas. Confluence bottle-conditioned and cellar aged. Serve at 40-50°F. Flavors of sweet, fresh bananas and layers of barnyard fruit. Crisp mouth-feel, with a drying, sour-tart finish. Notes of roasty, nutty caramel. Excellent on BeerAdvocate.
