More beer on the wall...

Boundary Bay is back!
Boundary BayLast seen at 99 Bottles in 2007, Boundary Bay bottled beers have finally returned check 'em out...
  • Inside Passage Ale IPA is spicy, with orange, grapefruit, and pine hops balanced on a sweet and hearty malt body. It has notes of pear, honey, and was voted most drinkable IPA by NW Brew News readers in 2007.
  • Cabin Fever Winter Ale is smooth and rich, with sweet caramel malts and notes of citrus zest, toffee, brown sugar, and spice. This is a winter seasonal to warm you up on a chilly eve.
  • Scotch Style Ale is malty and sweet with a bit of toffee and notes of peat. It has a dry finish, with a lingering aftertaste.

A special Boulevard-Orval collaboration beer
Boulevard-Orval CollaborationThat's right, Jean-Marie Rock brewmaster at the world-famous ORVAL Trappist brewery partnered with Boulevard Brewing's brewmaster Steven Pawels to create an imperial pilsner using 100% Pilsner malt and 100% Saaz hops and time-honored techniques. The result isColloboration No. 1 Imperial Pilsne, an 8% ABV pils that's light, bright and spicy, with a crisp bitter finish.

Also new and returning from Missouri's Boulevard Brewing are:
.
Pick up some Reserve Series beers
Deschutes Reserve SeriesThat's right... here's your chance to pick up a whole set of Deschutes Reserve Series at 99 Bottles. These limited-edition beers are subject to what's in stock now, so if you want some, don't delay. Deschutes says of their Reserve Series, "We throw out all the rules when it comes to our Reserve Series. But we throw in all the best ingredients and brewing techniques to make small batches of innovative, bold flavors.

These brews age well and have a higher alcohol content. Although our Reserve Series takes more time to brew, they disappear quickly due to their popularity and limited release."
  • Jubel 2010 or "super jubel" is once-a-decade ale aged in aged in Oregon oak pinot barrels; fans of the winter seasonal Jubelale we recommend you take the time to pick up a bottle
  • The Abyss 2009 a rich, decadent stout with a complex profile of molasses, licorice and other alluring flavors draw you further into the abyss, 11% alcohol with a 'best served after date' of this fall...yes, this beer only improves with proper cellaring
  • Black Butte XXI a colossal version of Black Butte Porter that includes Theo's Chocolate cocoa nibs from Seattle and has been dry-hopped with 100 pounds of Bellatazza's Oregon-roasted coffee; a portion was aged in Stranahan's Colorado whiskey barrels and blended to create XXI to celebrate Deschutes Brewery's twenty-first anniversary in 2009. The XXII is next-up in the 2010 release, so pick up a bottle of XXI now and set it aside for a vertical tasting
  • Mirror-Mirror 2009 barleywine is a doubled-up version of Mirror Pond Pale Ale at 11% ABV, with a rich malt base with hints of raisin and oak tinged with the slightest citrus hop aroma; pair it with some stilton blue cheese

Lagunitas Wilco Tango FoxtrotWTF!!! Yep, that's right...
Wilco Tango Foxtrot

Lagunitas dubs Wilco Tango Foxtrot an ode to progress (or lack thereof)...we're not quite in the red...or black...does that mean we're in the brown? The brewery tipped its hand a while back with a message on its Website: "We haven't figured out what this one'll be... it was supposed to follow the 2009 Correction Ale with the name '2010 Recovery Ale', but it doesn't look like we'll be there by March. WTF?" Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot is a 7.3% ABV Brown Ale. Limited release, 22oz bottles

An apple a day keeps the doctor away
Woodchuck Spring Cider...whether that saying applies to hard apple cider is up to your doc! If you haven't yet ventured into the Cider Cooler, what are you waiting for? A new cider to arrive? Okay, here's a new cider for you to try... Woodchuck Spring Cider exhibits a crispness of the Granny Smith apple with a complimentary balance of honey. This handcrafted cider has a delicate sweetness that does not overpower the palate and makes it very easy to drink. Woodchuck Spring Cider is the ideal drink for a spring occasion and it pairs well with many cheeses, breads, and hors d'oeuvres.

Drie Fonteinen Oude KriekI'm thankful for...cherry beer!
Though the importer may be a bit biased, they say of Drie Fonteinen Oude Kriek, "Perhaps the best sour cherry beer in the world." And we certainly agree that this IS a cherry beer to be very thankful for...Oude Kriek is loaded with real cherries, which are added whole into slowly fermenting oak casks. Yum!! Drie Fonteinen is the only remaining traditional geuze blender in Belgium, using only 100% spontaneously fermented lambic beer, aged in oak casks, with no artificial sweeteners or other additives. Excellent on BeerAdvocate. 6% ABV, 12.7oz bottle

Quelque ChoseUnibroue Quelque Chose has finally returned after a two-year hiatus! Quelque Chose was specifically developed as a winter beer because, when warmed to 160ºF, it can be taken as a hot drink. On the other hand, on the rocks, it is a wonderful aperitif. The cherries are soaked for months in slightly bitter ale before being blended into the beer. Quelque Chose is made with dark roasted malts, and the end result is something commonly known as an authentic nectar. The most original of the Unibroue line, it is highly appreciated by winter-sports enthusiasts.

Hop-heads rejoice...Hop Pursuit has arrived
The latest in the Brewmaster Reserve Series from Full Sail Brewing, Hop Pursuit Extra Pale Ale is both hoppy and sessionable.
