October 2009

Greetings!

Fall and winter with their festive holidays, cooler weather, and family gatherings inspire many of us to decorate our homes for the season and upcoming holidays. This year, you can create beautiful and unique home décor using a variety of Stampin' Up! products. Simple projects like a banner created from the On Board Ho Ho Ho glittered chipboard (#117613) can be made in a twinkle of an eye. If you want to get more involved, create a whole tablescape with a centerpiece and place settings decorated using the Table Setting die (#116819) for the Big Shot or create an advent calendar using the Christmas Countdown Décor Elements (#114831). Many home décor projects can be saved and used or displayed year after year.

Making projects together as a family or with a group of friends allows you to be productive while also creating special holiday memories. Let me show you some other home décor ideas at a home workshop and you'll earn extra rewards with our Sweet Rewards promotion this month. Whether big or small, the décor you add to your home will help bring warmth to your surroundings and joy to those in your home. Need ideas or inspiration? Check out the ideas in the Holiday Mini or contact me today!

Season's Greeting Card with Cold and Cuddly Stamp Set (#116523) Q&A

Q: I want to create Holiday cards this year. What do I need to do?

A: Creating your own custom Christmas cards is a great way to share holiday joy with your friends and family. Custom cards are unique and always stand out from the stack of manufactured cards received each year. Those receiving your cards will know how special they are to you. Custom Christmas cards can be traditional or trendy, simple or ornate, include photos or not, and can be handmade or even created using the new My Digital Studio digital paper crafting software. There are so many options for creative and unique cards!

Design

Begin by selecting a design you like. Be inspired by ideas in the beautiful Stampin' Up! catalogs, online samples, create your own unique design, or contact me for more ideas — I would love to help! When selecting your design, or a couple of designs, keep in mind how many cards you want to create and the time you have to make them.
