Support the Troops! Come help make cards to send over to our servicemen and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. Over 9,000 cards have been mailed to date. These are cards that are BLANK, ready for them to write home to their loved ones. Last month, we brought out paper, ink and stamps and created on the spot. Creativity came through and beautiful cards emerged. Come join us this month. Our cards are in demand. Bringing your basic supplies (adhesive, paper trimmer, paper snips) is appreciated.

When just saying 'thank you' isn't enough, use this beautiful butterfly card to truly show your gratitude.
Stamp Other Supplies - Baja Breeze 8-1/2X11 Card Stock
- Kiwi Kiss 8-1/2X11 Card Stock
- Whisper White 8-1/2X11 Card Stock
- Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
- Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' Pad
- Kiwi Kiss Classic Stampin' Pad
- Summer Love Rub-Ons
- Stampin' Dimensionals
Instructions - Apply flower Rub-On to Baja Breeze card stock using wooden stick included with Rub-Ons assortment. Adhere to Kiwi Kiss card.
- Stamp "Thank you" in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White card stock. Apply leaf Rub-On to Whisper White card stock. Adhere to card.
- Stamp butterfly image in Baja Breeze ink on separate Whisper White card stock. Trim closely. Adhere to card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Repeat step 3 using Basic Gray ink and Kiwi Kiss ink.

| | Poppin' Pastels Technique Review
 This technique offers the best of both worlds -- stamped images combined with our vibrant pastels. For best results, use bold images such as our Two-Step Stampin' sets. Ask me for more tips and techniques that use our Stampin' Pastels.
- Ink the background stamp (#111598) with the VersaMark ink pad.
- Stamp the image.
- Dab a sponge dauber (#102892) on one of our Stampin' Pastels (105542).
- Use the Stampin' Pastels eraser to remove the excess chalk from around the image.
You'll find the Mother's Day sentiment stamp image shown in the All Holidays set (#114916).

| | Q & A Other Uses for Stamps
Q: What are other uses for stamps, besides cards?
A: My theory? If you can get it to hold still long enough, you can stamp it! Scrapbooks, handmade gifts, candles, centerpieces, fabric, and many home décor items can be given extra personality with stamps. Stamping titles and accents in scrapbooks allows you to customize the colors to match your themes and photos. Plus, using alphabet stamps, you never run into the problem of running out of a certain letter or having to deal with odds and ends that you didn’t need. My friend made darling baby t-shirts for a baby shower and then placed them in a coordinating gift bag with gift card all using the same stamp set. It was the HIT of the party.
With the great coordinating products like stamps, stencils, and décor elements, creating coordinating themed looks is even easier! Use stamps to decorate a candle and create a decorated shadow box, then use Décor Elements and stencils to add flair to a lamp shade, vase, furniture, or wall. By using coordinating themes and colors, you can create custom décor with flexibility and affordability! So see what holds still long enough and stamp it!
