Members of the Stoneham, Winchester and North Suburban Chambers of Commerce are invited to a FREE networking event with Congressman Edward Markey on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, 5:30 - 7:30 PM, hosted by Montvale Plaza, 54 Montvale Avenue, Stoneham. Congressman Markey will address issues such as economic recovery, newly-created job stimulus programs, reducing taxes, investing in infrastructure, incentivizing innovation and issues of concern to small business owners. Member Body Mind Systems, a comprehensive martial arts system is offering a Leadership And Martial Arts Seminar during the Chamber's Business After Hours from 5:45 - 6:45 PM pm Wednesday, April 14 at their studio at 263 Main Street, Stoneham. This seminar is FREE to all Chamber of Commerce members and their staff, friends and family (Ages 16+). The seminar will speak about martial arts principles for being a more successful leader during these challenging times and involve beginning level martial arts movements.Body Mind Systems' most successful students are already leaders, professionals and business owners who need that extra edge to have the focus, willpower, confidence, awareness, relationships, and ability to take action on their goals to have as much success in life as they want. "The Mike Mangini Drumming Experience" presented by Axiom Drummer's Place to benefit Stoneham Rotary is Friday, April 9, 7 PM (doors open at 6 PM), Stoneham High School, 149 Franklin Street. Tickets are $20 at Axiom Drummer's Place, 451 Main Street, Stoneham, $25 at the event. The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has twice nominated Mangini for a Grammy Award for rock instrumental performance. Mangini has performed with Aerosmith, Boston, Extreme, Run DMC, Steely Dan, Dream Theatre, Steve Perry, Steve Vai, and others and holds the official title as The World's Fastest Drummer. A special program will be held at the Enterprise Center, 121 Loring Ave., Salem MA from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 1 - Doing Business in Emerging Markets: China, India and Brazil - with Rob Lutts, President and CIO for Cabot Money Management in Salem. Rob will give an overview of the business opportunities in those markets. Joining Rob is Marie Hladikova, CGBP Trade Services Manager of the Massachusetts Export Center, who will talk about how to export products or services to these countries and how government can help.

Eat great pasta and support our runners as they support Stoneham Theatre & The American Heart Association. Landers, Lee, Matt, Mike, and Weylin committed to run in the Boston marathon in support of Stoneham Theatre and the American Heart Association and in honor of Gavin Symes, a brother and friend who passed away last year from a heart attack.
