Members of the Stoneham, Winchester and North Suburban Chambers of Commerce are invited to a FREE networking event with Congressman Edward Markey on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, 5:30 - 7:30 PM, hosted by Montvale Plaza, 54 Montvale Avenue, Stoneham. Congressman Markey will address issues such as economic recovery, newly-created job stimulus programs, reducing taxes, investing in infrastructure, incentivizing innovation and issues of concern to small business owners. Member Amy Kreydin (The Barefoot Dragonfly) is coordinating a local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) initiative for Stoneham, which creates a relationship between a local MA organic farm and community members who want to purchase organically grown fruits and vegetables. Stoneham Theatre presents My Fair Lady, directed by Caitlin Lowans and featuring Robyn Lee and Timothy John Smith. Performances run from April 8 through May 2: Thurs. (7:30 pm), Fri. (8 pm), Sat. "The Mike Mangini Drumming Experience" presented by Axiom Drummer's Place to benefit Stoneham Rotary is Friday, April 9, 7 PM (doors open at 6 PM), Stoneham High School, 149 Franklin Street. Tickets are $20 at Axiom Drummer's Place, 451 Main Street, Stoneham, $25 at the event. The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has twice nominated Mangini for a Grammy Award for rock instrumental performance. Mangini has performed with Aerosmith, Boston, Extreme, Run DMC, Steely Dan, Dream Theatre, Steve Perry, Steve Vai, and others and holds the official title as The World's Fastest Drummer.
