On Wednesday, April 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce, partnering with the Winchester and North Suburban Chambers of Commerce will present U. S. Congressman Edward Markey. Congressman Markey will update us on issues of concern to small business owners, including escalating costs of health care coverage, driving a stronger economic recovery for small business and the banking industry in particular and other issues of concern to small business owners. Watch your email for a registration form and sign up early as seating will be limited. See more details here in the next day or two.

Sympathies are extended to one of our founding members and StonehamBank Chairman of the Board Robert H. Skelley and his family, as they grieve the loss of their wife, mother and grandmother Johanne. Services will be held on Saturday, March 13 at Center Congregational Church in Lynnfield at 11 AM. Donations in Johanne's memory may be made to Lake Sunapee VNA & Hospice, P.O. Box 2209, New London, New Hampshire 03257.

Sympathies are also extended to Stoneham Superintendent of Schools Dr. Les Olson and his family as they grieve of the loss of his father. Details are uncertain at this time.

Stoneham Theatre Spring 2010 Workshops begin next week! Classes include Improvisation, Introduction to Acting, Tap Boot Camp and much much more! Classes are available for children, teens, and one class is even available for adults. If you haven't already signed up, the registration form for the 2010 Spring Workshops for the young company at Stoneham Theatre is available on the Stoneham Theatre website! Deadlines for submitting your registration form are as follows: For Session 1, registration is due by March 6th. For Session 2, registration is due by April 24th. For classes that span both sessions, registration is due by March 6th. Finally, this weekend the family friendly show, The Dinosaur Musical opens at Stoneham Theatre! Tickets are selling fast but we have great seats available for the Friday and Saturday evening performances. Curtain times are early enough that families of all ages can see the show without worrying about missing bedtime. The Dinosaur Musical runs from March 5-March 21.The Dinosaur Musical is appropriate for musical theatre-goers of all ages, but is suggested for children in 3rd - 6th grade.
