Greetings!
I am grateful to all of you who have been contending in prayer for Israel. There is such a sense of soberness and joy among the believers here. We have just finished 101 hours of prayer and worship. We ended up with an extra hour because we had to turn the clocks back. Read Psalm 101!
YOM KIPPUR
Today is the Day of Atonement. This is one of the feasts that has not been fulfilled but will be when the Lord returns. We have just finished the 10 days of Awe where the Jewish people make things right between each other and God because of the approaching fast day of Yom Kippur. This is the most holy day for the Jewish people. In ancient times it is on this day that high priest would take blood into the Holy of Holies and make atonement for all of Israel. One man for one nation one time during the year would offer one sacrifice in the Holy of Holies where the ark of the covenant is. Spiritually Yeshua has done it for all but there will be yet a time where He will fulfill this great atoning feast in Jerusalem at His second coming. All of Israel will be saved on that day.
There is a big difference between personal atonement and national atonement. All people everywhere can receive the atoning work of the Lord from his fulfilling Pesach--the passover. He is our passover! We, individually, are redeemed by His precious holy blood that was spilled on the cross. He was crucified outside the camp on golgatha and purchased individual atonement for every person who repents and puts his/her faith in the Lord for salvation.
National atonement, on the other hand, is different. God only has covenant with one nation. It is the nation of Israel. Yom Kippur has to do with "national atonement" and not individual atonement. Israel, as a nation, sins horribly. I do not agree with all the decisions and actions of the nation of Israel. There greatest sin is that they do not acknowledge the Lord and submit and serve Him on a national level.
It is this consistent rejection of the lordship of Yeshua that they yet will have a meeting with Him in the not to distant future when He will wrestle with Jacob. After the time of Jacob's trouble will come Yom Kippur and all of Israel's "national sin" will be forgiven and the Lord will change Jacob to Israel. This is the only one of the 7 feasts that has no bearing or fulfillment for the church other then we will succor Israel and Jewish people in the wilderness of the nations during the last 3 1/2 years of the 7 year period that Daniel mentions. This is also the time the Lord referenced as the "great tribulation" a "time that never was or ever will be again."
It is also on this day that they would blow the Jubilee trumpet that began the 50th year on a Jubilee year.
Lev. 25:10 And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.
Isaiah 61 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
This was fulfilled in the first coming.
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, (this is another term for Jubilee year that is not translated well in most english translations. See Luke 4:18-20)
This was fulfilled in the first coming also. But the Lord stopped reading in the middle of the verse. When He returns the second time it will be to finish the verses.
And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."
Isaiah 34:7 The wild oxen shall come down with them, And the young bulls with the mighty bulls; Their land shall be soaked with blood, And their dust saturated with fatness." 8 For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, The year of recompense for the cause of Zion. Its streams shall be turned into pitch, And its dust into brimstone; Its land shall become burning pitch
The Lord will return just before or in a Jubilee year. It will be the Lord's vengeance or as Isaiah said the year of recompense for the cause of Zion. It is also called the time of Jacob's trouble.
SUMMERY OF THE 100 HOURS
There was a consistent theme of knocking, seeking and asking on the foundation of worship. There was a sense of hunger for the "Word of the Lord". What is the Lord saying to the body here in the Land of Israel. During the last hour I had a sense of the "suddenlys" of the Lord and He began to give me some verses. Steve Carpenter who was leading worship with the Levites from Taiwan went into singing suddenly. I knew that was a confirmation.
Isaiah 48
1 "Listen to this, you descendants of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and come from the line of Judah, you who take oaths in the name of the LORD and invoke the God of Israel- but not in truth or righteousness- 2 you who call yourselves citizens of the holy city and claim to rely on the God of Israel- the LORD Almighty is his name: 3 I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass. 4 For I knew how stubborn you were; your neck muscles were iron, your forehead was bronze. 5 Therefore I told you these things long ago; before they happened I announced them to you so that you could not say, 'My images brought them about; my wooden image and metal god ordained them.' 6 You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not admit them?
"From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you. 7 They are created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, 'Yes, I knew of them.' 8 You have neither heard nor understood; from of old your ears have not been open. Well do I know how treacherous you are; you were called a rebel from birth. 9 For my own name's sake I delay my wrath; for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you, so as not to destroy you completely. 10 See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. 11 For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another. There is allot of revelation in these 11 verses but let me just give a few quick points: 1. The ancient prophecies regarding the coming of the Lord are going to come about suddenly. verse 3 2. He spoke it long ago so that we can not use our own ways as a point of reasoning. verses 4-5 3. He wants us to rely on the prophetic texts and the hidden things that He will reveal to us. verse 6 4. He wants us to get the prophetic word in the moment so that we can not say "I knew them". Verse 7 5. He knows we (and Israel) are rebellious from birth so that He is going to show us things that we have not heard or understood in the moment. This will require intimacy with Him. It will require seeking Him day to day. 6. For His names sake He will delay wrath and for the sake of praise He holds it back so that we are not completely destroyed. Worship is important here. verse 9 7. He is refined us not as silver and tested us in the furnace of affliction. It was mentioned by one brother that there is a difference in the way that silver and gold are refined which is another study. verse 10 8. It is for His sake (twice mentioned) that He does this in order to not be defamed and yield his glory to another. verse 11 SUMMERY In this new season the Lord is going to withhold many things from us and from the prophets in order to test us. To see if we will prophecy from ourselves. Come up with our own ideas about what is happening. He will bring forth understanding but it will be suddenly but only to those who have disciplined themselves to truly wait on the Lord for the authentic Word from Heaven. He is doing it this way in order to not "yield his glory to another" and force us into a furnace of affliction where we HAVE TO WAIT FOR HIS TRUE WORD. One of the most difficult things for believers and especially prophetic believers is to wait...and wait...and wait. I find in most pentecostal, charismatic meetings a consistent inability to WAIT! In the waiting we will see and hear many false prophecies, signs and wonders etc. We are to impatient. We want burger king prophecies. We want it our way and right away. So He is thrusting us into a season of waiting on Him. The presumptuous believers will be caught in deception because of the sin of impatience. I believe Habakkuk clearly speaks to this season... Habakkuk 2 1 I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. 2 Then the LORD answered me and said:
" Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 " Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.
We have to: 1. Stand our watch 2. Set ourself on the rampart 3. Watch and see what He will say to us 4. And what I will answer when I am corrected...He speaks correction to us when we are waiting for divine revelation!!!!! Key point!! STAY TEACHABLE!!!!! 5. When He answers...write the vision 6. Make it plain or simple 7. That he may run who reads it or it can be that a running man can read it. (both are applicable: It can give us direction to run and speak to us when we are running. 8. The vision is for the appointed time...set time...the suddenly of the Lord 9. The true vision will not lie 10. In the end it will speak 11. Though it tarries..... a long, long time 12. WAIT FOR IT!!!!!!! 13. It will surely come! but we have to be patient! 14. It will not tarry. Even though it feels like it. We are being tested to wait. 15. Pride will set us up! Because our soul will not be right. We will be impatient! Impatience is a statement of pride and a work of the flesh!!!! But the just will live by faith! Faith that He will speak in His time and we will be content to wait...and wait... and wait...
1 Corinthians 1:6-8
6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, 7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:19
19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame-who set their mind on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
James 5:6-8
New King James Version (NKJV)
6 You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. 7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. 8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
God is good! Keep praying! And Waiting! Shalom, Clint
I highly recommend reading this Thesis by Thomas Blake! Understanding The New Covenant by Thomas Blake I also recommend reading this Article by Reggie Kelly The Eschatology of the Everlasting Covenant by Reggie Kelly I also recommend this book "The Controversy of Zion" With a deep reverence for the Word, a fervent love for the Jewish people, and a burden for the maturity of the Church, Dalton Lifsey has clearly articulated a key prophetic word for this urgent hour. Dalton is a skilled expositor with insight far beyond his years. This is an invaluable book that provides clarity on a number of issues that the Church cannot afford to be ignorant about or indifferent toward, especially as the "time of Jacob's trouble" draws near. I strongly recommend reading it. Mike Bickle International House of Prayer Kansas City GET THE BOOK! CLICK THIS LINK! The Controversy of Zion |
