Greetings!
I want to share a couple of points as a foundation to the dream I recently had.
1. The problem with the U.S. is NOT the president! It is not the liberals! It is not the republicans! It is not the democrats! It is not the abortion! It is not the porno industry! It is not the debt! It is not the corruption in government! It is not Hollywood! The problem with the U.S. is the CHURCH! Specifically the pastors and leaders of the church. God gives a nation over to the direction of the pulpits. That's why it says
2 Chron. 7:12 Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
The problem with the nation is related to the condition of the church. The judgments that fall on a nation, the leaders they have, the storms and famines they have are ALWAYS related to the leaders and what they are preaching in the pulpits. The responsibility always falls on the church to humble themselves, pray, seek His face and repent. Four steps. If we will do that He will respond from heaven, forgive our sin and heal the land. The context is HOW the church responds to the JUDGMENTS that the LORD has sent.
2. In September of 2008 the Lord spoke to me clearly out of 1 Kings 12:15 that the "turn of events was from the Lord." Those turn of events was that Obama would be elected as president and that I was to pray for Obama to win the election. That his election would be "from the Lord". A few months later Obama won the election.
3. We have faced judgments from the Lord over the past 10 years: 9/11, Katrina, housing bubble, Obama's election, skyrocketing debt, many horrible storms and fires, etc. Because of the lack of clarity from prophetic voices and the lack of repentance being preached in the pulpits we are now being given into another judgment as a nation. And I am not talking about the imminent collapse of the U.S. dollar and economy.
A SHIFT IS HAPPENING
As I write this I am sitting in one of the great gates of Asia: The Hong Kong International airport and the Lord continues to download a very specific and timely word for the body of Christ in the U.S. and around the world.
Please allow me to set the stage as I release this Word of the Lord. I flew from Chicago, where I was with most of my family, on a grueling 16-hour flight aboard "United" airlines. It was one of those flights where things went wrong but went right. I get to the airport to find out the flight was canceled. Originally I was to fly to Newark then Hong Kong a 24-hour ordeal that I was detesting.
The goal of the trip is many faceted. I was flying to attend the Global Homecoming of the Chinese church that started on June 8. I am also carrying 2 suite cases full of needed parts and upgrades for the sailboat. Then I am on into China to do training and equipping with leaders who are running 24/7 prayer houses throughout China. Then to a leadership conference in Taiwan and then to the boat in Palau. Then back to Taiwan to start another 8 weeks of equipping of the prophetic school with a prophetic worship conference in the Middle of August and 50 hours of prayer and worship. Then finally returning home to Israel in September and getting ready to do 100 hours of prophetic worship and prayer (50 in Kehilat Carmel with David and Karen Davis) then 50 at King of Kings with a prophetic conference there during the 10 days of awe where we are attempting to gather a community of prophetic people from all over Israel.
Cancelled flight! I was rebooked but had to wait 4 more hours to fly. But the new flight was direct to Hong Kong and caused me to arrive more than 1 hour ahead of my cancelled flight.
INSIGHT #1 GOD IS CHANGING TIMES AND COURSES.
New times, new course, new departure, new plane and crew but same destination. It was initially frustrating because it disturbed my itinerary and my plans. Be ready for God to change your times, your course or plans and mess with your itinerary. He may even change your destination. He is teaching us to trust Him and trust the fact that he is sovereign!
INSIGHT #2 THE BATTLE IS TRULY IN THE GATES AS INDICATED IN MY PREVIOUS EMAILS AND THIS SEASON BETWEEN PESACH (APRIL 19, 2011) AND SHAVUOT (JUNE 12, 2011) IS MORE CRITICAL THAN MOST REALIZE; BOTH IN THE NATURAL (WORLD AND NATIONS) AND IN THE SPIRITUAL. (PERSONALLY, CONGREGATIONS, ISRAEL ETC.)
INSIGHT #3 WE ARE IN A MAJOR SHIFT AND THERE WILL BE NO GOING BACK.
I had a dream this morning that was startling and in this dream the Lord instructed me to write this email. The dream was about a shift---a major shift in the Spirit. This shift is taking place from June 8, 2011 (the false Shavuot held by the religious Jews) and the true Shavuot, which falls on Sunday, June 12, 2011. In over 30 years I have had about a dozen powerful experiences with the Lord. This dream is right up there in the top 10. It is prophetic and it is a warning. It is extreme for some of you and it will not "tickle your ears". So I want to encourage each of you to sincerely pray before you read on.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
Before I share the dream and interpretation let me share what happened to me yesterday. Upon arriving in Hong Kong I had a meeting with a wonderful Mother and daughter who had recently visited us in Israel. Upon leaving them to go and apply for my China visa and to go to the evening meeting with more than 10,000 Chinese leaders from all over the world I began to feel sick to my stomach. Of course I am thinking jet lag or the flu or something in the food. As I walked up to my hotel next to the Hong Kong airport, I felt sicker and sicker. Many people were trying to check in for the conference and there was great confusion. One of the leaders spotted me and came to me and said, "Pastor Clint, you are here and your bring the break through just now!" He was speaking of the booking nightmare that had been going on for a number of hours and the confusion and double booking of rooms. It was an administrative nightmare and had many of the believers acting like non-believers if you know what I mean. It was not working out the way they thought! (Back to insight #1 things are not working according to your plans or even the plan that the Lord had given you!) These inconveniences were revealing the shallowness of many Christians. Myself included. I go to my room and had people coming into my room because it was double booked and were surprised to see me there. I also had people calling my room looking for people who were not there. Meanwhile I am sick and just wanting to rest and to hopefully get some sleep.
My friend and roommate Cello was already preparing with the worship team in the 12,000-seat auditorium at the Asia World Expo Center attached to the airport. I just want to go home to Jesus I am feeling so bad. I drift in and out of sleep all the time wondering if I should get up and go to the meeting by faith or just stay and rest by faith. I chose the latter. It is in this condition of feeling so sick and wanting to vomit that I remain all night. Around 3 a.m. I have a dream.
THE DREAM
In this dream I realize that deception is rapidly increasing in the church globally. I see believers that were theologically solid in years gone by all of a sudden "not enduring sound doctrine". The Lord said the "time had come" the "kairos" had arrived. Paul is charging Timothy before God and the Lord Jesus Christ (vrs 1) [These is a very strong admonition] who will judge the quick and the dead (those changed and raptured (quickened) and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom. We see the context of the appearing is also the greatest "break in" of the kingdom and that the Judgment seat of Christ happens immediately.
Paul's command to Timothy is to "preach the Word; be instant in season (eukairos-convenient season) and out of season (akairos-inopportunely, out of season); reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering (fortitude and patience) and doctrine. Because there is a time coming, a season, a kairos when believers will not endure sound doctrine but instead will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables, fiction, tales, and myths.
INSIGHT #4 MANY WILL NOT ENDURE OR LISTEN TO SOUND DOCTRINE!
Brothers and Sisters we are truly entering this season!
The word endure here in 2 Tim 4:3 is "anechomai" it means to hold oneself up against, to put up with, to bear, to suffer and to endure.
There is a reason why many believers will not endure sound doctrine. It is because of their "own lusts". "Epthumia", concupiscence, desire, to lust after is the word. Any affection that you have that is greater then your affection for Christ is an inordinate affection it is lust. It can be anything. Money, power, sex, wanting peace, not wanting to suffer, fear, fear of death...the list is endless. It is in these inordinate desires that we heap to ourselves, (episoreuo-accumulate, seek additionally, pile up, load up) teachers that are according to our lusts, our inordinate desires.
A lust or an inordinate desire is any desire you have that has not gone to the Cross of Christ. Any area that you have not died to has the potential of leading you to false teaching. Those areas of uncrucified desires create in you an itching ear. In other words your uncrucified desire will lead you to false teaching to affirm your uncrucified area (lust). There will multitudes that follow these false teachers, false prophets, false pastors and false apostles. These are leaders who have yet to embrace the cross as well and develop "doctrines" false doctrines around their own lusts and mislead many.
The Lord is literally going to give people over to their "itching ears" their inordinate desires and to the false doctrine. Brothers and sisters we have NEVER been here before. The deception in these last of the end times will be the greatest deception the church has ever had. There are many who will preach Jesus but are enemies of the cross. In other words they will not preach the Cross and Him crucified. They will preach popular messages not the messages the deal with the inordinate desires and affections of people. Not messages that require you to repent.
As the dream continues the Lord takes me back to the events of the trip and shows me how my different selfish attitudes were setting me up for offense and deception.
The Lord showed me the discussion earlier in the day with 2 dear sisters I had lunch with. These women are seriously after the Lord. The mother has had a number of visions of the return of the Lord and nuclear bombs going off. The daughter is one of the hungriest end time students I have ever met. Both of them love the Lord dearly and are given to the study of Scripture. As I have discussed many times with them about a post tribulation, pre-wrath rapture they have a difficult time letting go of their conditioned pre-tribulation position. We really got down to the reason they hold to a pre-trib position--they don't want to suffer and feel pain.
This issue of the "avoidance of pain" is the primary motivator of most all human beings that has its origin in the garden of Edan. The result of Adam's sin of rebellion and loss of relationship caused him to have pain, fear, rejection and to hide from God.
It was the very issue that Satan used to access Peter when Jesus had told him that He was going to the cross and Peter said
"Far be it from You Lord; this shall not happen to You!" But He turned and said to Pete, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men." Matt 16:22-23
What was mindful of God was the suffering and death on the cross that would be turned to resurrection. But the way that men think is to avoid pain and suffering and going to the cross. One of the primary earthly desires is to avoid pain and suffering. Yet it is the very expression God uses to reveal His love to us and for us...the Cross!
Having this "inordinate affection of avoiding pain" or the fear of suffering or the fear of death and pain sets people up for false teaching. As I have said many times I have a theology of suffering. We may suffer here through tribulations and difficulties but it can not be compared to the eternal suffering that Hell will bring to its prisoners. Paul calls the suffering he experienced as "temporal and momentary."
INSIGHT #5 A DESIRE TO AVOID PAIN AND SUFFERING WILL SET YOU UP FOR FALSE TEACHING
The night was Wed. night June 8 which is the "false" Jewish religious day of Shavuot, which many Christians that are awakened to their Hebrew roots celebrate foolishly. It is a right desire but a false time. Within 5 days (June 12) we will celebrate the true Shavuot. (Which actually is aligned with the Christian calendar this year.)
INSIGHT #6 HAVING THE RIGHT DESIRE IS NO GUARANTEE OF RIGHT TIMING WHICH CAN LEAD TO DECEPTION
We are living in a time where many will call evil good and good evil.
Is 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
This is part of the shift we are in. We will see many pastors, teachers, prophets and apostles switching evil for good and light for darkness. It is according to their own desires and not according to Christ.
Philippians 3:17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note (mark) those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly (appetites), and whose glory is in their shame-who set their mind on earthly things.
Colosions 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
There are many believers who are headed into a falling away and end time deception because they are moved by their uncrucified appetites and their mind is set on earthly things that are the traditions of men and basic principles of the world. It is "empty deceit."
INSIGHT #7 BELIEVERS WHOSE MINDS ARE SET ON EARTHLY THINGS, PRINCIPLES OF THE WORLD, TRADITIONS OF MEN AND WHO HAVE INORDINATE DESIRES WILL BE DECEIVED! NO MATTER HOW SINCERE OR COMMITTED THEY THINK THEY ARE.
As I awoke from the dream the Lord said to "Warn His people" this is the "kairos" moment we are in. I left the hotel to walk next door to the airport to get on line and write this. When I arrived at the airport at 4 a.m. there was a film crew shooting a movie. It was a parable of what I had just seen. Here is the parable.
They were real people that were acting. They had a specific plot and script that they were acting with. They had a real director and real cameras and lights. They took the same scene about 8 times and shot different camera angles. The movie, when done, would give an illusion of the story line. The goal of the director is to make it as real and life like as possible to engage the audience into thinking it is real. But in the final analysis it is only a movie, an illusion.
The Lord said this is the church in the world today. Most of the church is moving through life according to the principles of the world and their minds are set on earthly things. They are real people but their role is generally scripted by the philosophies and traditions of men. They are being cheated by empty deceit. They are being carried away by their own uncrucified appetites to fables and tales. They are listening to teachers who teach a message that is void of the cross. It is an illusion a deception and at some point they will wake up and realize the truth.
My prayer is that you will wake up today. I admonish every one of to be careful what you read, what you watch and who you listen too. Just because they are "big" or "successful" ministries with miracles and signs and wonders does not mean they are preaching "sound doctrine". I implore you to crucify your own desires and selfish ambitions by embracing the cross and turn away from the teachers who tickle your ears. Embrace the full counsel of the Word of God that requires repentance and change and don't turn your ears away from the truth by turning aside to fables and false teaching.
Know the Word, study it for yourself, give yourself to a "love of the truth".
2 Thess 2:9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
In the final analysis you will either embrace "sound doctrine" or you will "turn your ears away from truth" and listen to fables.
