1.   Christ's Church

The earthquake in Christchurch was 6.3 but the thing that made it so devastating is that Christchurch is built on sand!  This causes the earthquake to be amplified.  Kind of like a trampoline.  There are a number of people that have given prophetic words regarding the significance of this earthquake but I want to add these verses.   

Matt 7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall." 28 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

In verse 24 Jesus is referring to Matt 5-7; the sermon on the Mount. The point I want to make is that unless we are walking in Biblical discipleship (Matt 28:18-20) of Matt 5-7 we ARE BUILDING ON THE SAND!  There is no way around it. Are you involved in discipleship?

Two groups 

There are two groups: wise and foolish.  Both groups are building.  One builds on the sand and one on the rock.  Both groups HEAR "these sayings" but the difference is one group does them and one group does not do them.  Are you walking in Matt 5-7?  

Storms are coming 

The storms that come will ultimately reveal the foundation.  Both houses may look great on the outside.  Foundations are not  seen by anyone.  Storms reveal what you are building on.  Their will be economic storms, social storms, governmental storms, natural storms etc...  What will the storms reveal in your life?

Much of the church is built on sand 

More than 1/3 of all the buildings in Christchurch have to be torn down because of structural damage.   

Earthquake was 6.3  

Isaiah 6:3 And one cried to another and said,  " Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!" 4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

2.  Japan

Japan is the only Asian nation that has never had a revival.  Japan has never repented for its atrocities that it committed to China, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines and many other nations that it ravished in WWII.  Japan is filled with idols and temples.    

Asakusa Kannon Temple (also called Sensoji) is the oldest temple in Tokyo. Its history goes back to 7th century. The legend says that in 628 two local fishermen caught a tiny statue in their net while fishing in the nearby Sumida river. The head of their village recognized it as the image of Kannon, Goddess of mercy. So they built a temple to enshrine and worship the Kannon statue.  

A number of years ago the Lord showed me that there would be a three fold chord.  China, Korea and Japan.  God is going to unite these three churches and raise up the kings of the East in a unified anointing.  Each bringing their strengths.  I sensed that the revival in Japan was necessary to increase the Christian population.  Japan is less then 2% Christian, China is 10% and Korea is 30%.   

Because Japan is called the "land of the rising sun" it was clear to me during our 50 hours of worship in January that He was getting ready to do something BIG there.  There are some prophecies that connect this earthquake to the U.S. as well.  

3.  Earthquakes

This may be unpleasant for some and I encourage you to study out the Word yourself.  Earthquakes are mentioned around 17 times in the Scriptures and if you add the word shake and tremble into it you can find around 200 references.  When Jesus died on the cross there was an earthquake.  When He rose from the dead there was a great earthquake.  Matt 24:7 tells us of earthquakes in the last days.  Revelation speaks of earthquakes.  Paul and Silas released an earthquake through praise and worship.  The glory of God is directly connected to shaking.  Consider Hebrews 12.  

Hebrews 12:25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shakenot only the earth, but also heaven." 27 Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Fire, shaking and glory are all connected.  Mt. Sinai had the glory of the Lord on it and it burned with fire and shook. 

Exodus 19:18 Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. 19 And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.

Heb 12:25 Says "Do not refuse Him who speaks".  God is speaking whether we except it or not.  No one escaped who turned away from Him who spoke on Earth, they died in the wilderness.  "Much more" shall we NOT escape Him who speaks from Heaven and shakes not only the Earth but Heaven as well this time!   

4.   The purpose of God in the shaking 

To remove everything that can be shaken of the things that are MADE!  In order for the things that cannot be shaken to remain.  The only thing that makes it through the shaking is the Kingdom of God!  It is what is established in righteousness.  We know that we are in the process of the birth pangs beginning.  Birth pangs increase with intensity and frequency over time.   

5.  The groaning of creation & the perseverance of the Saints

Rom 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

This portion of scripture is actually speaking of the Day of the Lord or the return of Christ when He redeems us and glorifies us.  It is speaking of the process we are in right up to His return. Suffering leads to glory.  Creation is groaning and wants to be delivered from the bondage of corruption.  Creation groans, the Spirit groans and we groan.  We wait for the redemption of our bodies (at the second coming) with PERSEVERANCE.  Even the Emperor of Japan made his first TV appearance and said to PERSEVERE.     

Revelation 3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those wh

Rev. 14:12  Here is the perseverance of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.     

6.  Dominoes are falling

We have been seeing the greatest shift of leaders in the Middle East and now we are seeing the beginning of tremendous shakings of the Lord in the Far East and it is coming to America.  What we will see is what John Paul Jackson calls a perfect storm.  We will see not just one calamity but multiple ones happening at the same time.  Not just the 4th largest recorded earthquake and not just a 25 foot tsunami but now a melt down of a nuclear reactor.  God is shaking Japan.   We will see these types of "perfect storms" hit the U.S. along with anarchy that will be absolutely terrifying in the major cities.  At least the Japanese are orderly.   

According to two prophetic voices when we see the earthquake in Japan there would be a big earthquake hit the West Coast and we would see the stock market begin to fall and the American dollar collapse.  I want to encourage you get out of the markets and banks and get your money into silver bullion before it is to late. It is also possible according to some of the prophecies I have seen that the New Madrid fault in the Mid West will move as well.     

There is still an open window to get ready but it is closing quickly.   

7.  The great end time revival

There will be a tremendous move of the Spirit bringing in the end time harvest but it will happen in the context of calamities hitting the nations of the Earth.  The greatest part of the harvest of Jews and Gentiles will be during the "Time of Jacob's Trouble" during the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation.  In a time that the Lord called the great tribulation.   

Matt 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.  

Matt 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.  

Rev. 14:14-16 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

All of the shakings that are going on are manifestations of the Kingdom of God breaking into the Earth for the sake of Israel and the establishment of His kingdom and throne in Jerusalem.  It is not just to gather the bride in a rapture just before the wrath of God falls but the eternal purpose is for Israel to have a King who rules and reigns from Jerusalem for a thousand years!  

Isaiah 24:1 Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty and makes it waste, distorts its surface and scatters abroad its inhabitants. 2 And it shall be: As with the people, so with the priest; As with the servant, so with his master; As with the maid, so with her mistress; As with the buyer, so with the seller; As with the lender, so with the borrower; As with the creditor, so with the debtor. 3 The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, for the LORD has spoken this word. 4 The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away; the haughty people of the earth languish. 5 The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned,    and few men are left.  7 The new wine fails, the vine languishes, all the merry-hearted sigh. 8 The mirth of the tambourine ceases, the noise of the jubilant ends, the joy of the harp ceases. 9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink is bitter to those who drink it. 10 The city of confusion is broken down; every house is shut up, so that none may go in. 11 There is a cry for wine in the streets, all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone. 12 In the city desolation is left, and the gate is stricken with destruction.  13 When it shall be thus in the midst of the land among the people, it shall be like the shaking of an olive tree, like the gleaning of grapes when the vintage is done. 14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing; for the majesty of the LORD 15 they shall cry aloud from the sea. Therefore glorify the LORD in the dawning light, the name of the LORD God of Israel in the coastlands of the sea. 

From the ends of the earth we have heard songs:  "Glory to the righteous!"  But I said, "I am ruined, ruined! Woe to me!  The treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously, indeed, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously." 17 Fear and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth. 18 And it shall be that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit, and he who comes up from the midst of the pit shall be caught in the snare; for the windows from on high are open and  

the foundations of the earth are shaken. 19 The earth is violently broken, the earth is split open, the earth is shaken exceedingly.  20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard and shall toter like a hut its transgression shall be heavy upon it, and it will fall, and not rise again.    

21 It shall come to pass in that day that the LORD will punish on high the host of  exalted ones, and on the earth the kings of the earth.  22  they will be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit and will be shut up in the prison; after many days they will be punished.  23  Then the moon will be disgraced and the sun ashamed;  

for the LORD of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem and before his elders gloriously.
