Appellate Court Tour, Out to Lunch (or Dinner) in Downtown

 

Appellate CourtWe are expanding this month's Out to Lunch event to include an Out to Dinner option, plus tours of one of downtown's post-modern architectural gems (inside and out) - the Second District Appellate Court building on Symphony Way. The tours will be conducted by Anthony Rubano of the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and Robert Mangan,  Second District Appellate Court Clerk.

Tour followed by lunch at La Quebrada

Downtown Construction Update Recap

 

On April 10, DNA hosted a meeting to provide updates on the major construction projects happening in and around downtown this summer. If you missed the meeting, here are the presentation slides that were provided for each project:

Additionally, Kimball Street bridge and roadway will be resurfaced from Rt. 31 to Dundee Ave; this project is managed by IDOT. Work is expected to begin in mid-June and last 6-8 weeks, with one lane in each direction kept open for traffic at all times.

 

DNA will provide a weekly "Downtown Construction E-Update" including information on all downtown projects beginning in late May.
