Traci Ellis of Launch Therapy and Dominic Sorresso of Windy City Coaching are serving as our "in-house" business coach partners in 2012. DNA member businesses are eligible to receive a complimentary one-hour consultation with either Traci or Dominic as part of their 2012 membership benefits. The session may be used for an overall assessment of your business or to address a specific issue. The goal is for you to leave the session with some action items that will help you grow your business. There is also the opportunity to participate in small group coaching sessions with other downtown businesses. To set up your complimentary session, contact us at (847) 488-1456 or downtownelgin@gmail.com. Not a DNA member or need to renew? Click here > Downtown Resource Center
Within the DNA office is an area called the Downtown Resource Center. The purpose of the DRC is to provide current and prospective downtown business owners and property owners access to resources about small business development, property improvement, sustainability and historic preservation that are specific to downtown Elgin. This project is headed up by the DNA's Design Committee, and new resources and literature are added weekly. Stop in during normal office hours to browse the resources or contact us to make an appointment to discuss specific property or business development issues. SAVE THE DATE! DOWNTOWN ONLINE & PRINTED DIRECTORIES
Reply by March 30
All downtown businesses will have a basic listing in the online directory; DNA member businesses receive an enhanced listing with links to web and social sites.
We will also be printing our annual directory brochure and map in the second quarter of 2012. We typically print 15,000-20,000 of these and distribute them through mailings, special events, local hotels, conferences, etc. The cost for this marketing opportunity is $35 for DNA members and $65 for non-members. Please indicate your participation in the printed directory via the online form link above. We will bill you for the listing.

ELECTRIC AGGREGATION IN ELGIN
The March 20 ballot asks voters to give the city of Elgin authority to create an electric aggregation program. If that ballot measure is approved, the city will seek bids from electricity suppliers other than ComEd to obtain lower electricity rates for city residences and small businesses. Any person who wishes to keep receiving electricity from ComEd may choose to do so by "opting out" of the program. Voters will have the choice to approve electric aggregation for Elgin on the March 20 ballot.
