Greetings!
At this time of year when many of us gather with friends and family to share a Thanksgiving Dinner, I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of you for helping to make the sharing of the Eucharist at St. Raphael's by the Sea a possibility. Your gifts of prayer, time, talent and funds have birthed into existence a warm and caring community of believers on Fort Myers Beach. So many of you have given your widow's mite in a time of economic recession that continues to spiral downward. Yet, you have chosen to take a stand for Christ and to give of your best to the Lord of Lords.
Our latest gift to St. Raphael's by the Sea is a beautiful altar from another church. This past Sunday, instead of using a portable banquet table to celebrate the Eucharist; we celebrated Christ the King Sunday on our new altar with our new deacon, the Rev. Susan Tweardy Rhodes, in the largest auditorium at the Beach Theatre. It was a joyous celebration!
So it is with truly a greatful heart that I pray all of you have a Happy Thanksgiving this year. It is only because of you that St. Raphael's by the Sea has much this year to give thanks. As a special treat, I hope you enjoy the following music video of Give Thanks!
