April 2010
Greetings!

Welcome to SPRING 2010!!  Easter is this weekened and many will be able to enjoy a 3 day weekend.  The weather forcast for the area for the reaminder of the week (and through Sunday) is fantastic!  There is very minimal chance of rain with highs near 80 some days and lows mainly in the 50's.  The Redbuds are swelling and near ready to burst.  This warmer weather should put them into bloom mode.  They are so beautiful.  The wildflowers are beginning to emerge and it won't be long until the hills will be covered in there various shades of glorious green.  Speaking of green, Supreme Builders has just acquired a Big Green Egg dealership (and were also just given the Better Business Bureau's highest rating of satisfaction).  This news has just been released recently, so look forward to more information in coming issues.

We also wanted to share a special treat our family enjoyed recently.  We had a fabulous time at the beautiful and luxurious Red Roof Cabin. It was very noticeable that the owners cared and paid great attention to detail. I feel that this cabin for rent in the Fall Creek Falls region really is quite special.  Our family loves to cook and was pleasantly surprised at the fully stocked kitchen, with the high-end cutlery, plates and cookware. Our guest, Dr. Michael Tabor and his wife were very impressed and we had several lovely meals around the hand-crafted pine dining table. The boys had a great time playing outside near the creek and the game room was superb. It allowed the adults to sleep in a bit, while they played ping-pong and air hockey downstairs.

Our trip to Fall Creek Falls State Park was excellent. It felt so great to be able to get out and soak up some fresh air and sunshine. The falls were gorgeous! We weren't the only ones ready to get out and hit the trails. We meet many people out and about enjoying the fantastic day. I encourage you to get out and enjoy all that the Cumberland Plateau and Highland Rim have to offer. It's spectacular!  There are many excellent places to stay.  Just visit our websites for listings: www.Go2dhl.com, www.Go2bsf.com, or www.Go2fcf.com.

Spring is such a special time in the Dale Hollow LakeBig South Fork and Fall Creek Falls regions.  There are the gorgeous wildflowers, the beautiful Redbud & Dogwood trees, personal landscapes, baby animals and more to brighten the season.  Farmers begin to work the ground preparing for the wonderful crops that we can all enjoy in the coming months.  Special themed trail rides, train rides, and hikes are scheduled to begin soon.  Be sure to check our event pages, with the local parks, and trail ride vendors to see what is coming up and make your reservations.  Many of the state parks have great events and interpretive programs throughout the year. Golfers! Don't forget the greens await. If you're at Dale Hollow lake, schedule your tee time at the Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park.  You can also reach them by phone at 270.433.7431.  There are also many other great courses in the Fall Creek Falls area, including those at The Reserve at Collins River (grab a sandwich while you're there) and in the Crossville, TN area.

There is so much to get out to see and do.  Lots of unique shops and antique stores eagerly await your visit. Make plans today to Get Out and Play on the Plateau!
