Dear ,
The first Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run took place Jun 6-14, 2009 with a total of 52 players registering for the event. It was a wonderful time to be out on the lake. Reports in from the marinas are that all the players appeared to have an excellent time and some discovered portions of Dale Hollow Lake that they had never been to before. The Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run committee would like to take this opportunity to announce the winners (which are now posted on the www.DaleHollowLakePokerRun.com website). They are:

Congratulations to all of the Winners! A big "Thank You" to everyone for their participation and their support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville which will benefit from a portion of the proceeds from this event. BE SURE to mark your calendar for August 22-30! There will be another Poker Run held during this week. To encourage increased participation the entry fee has been lowered for the next run. Details for this event are being posted on the website as soon as they become available.

There were several great events that occurred during the Poker Run. Clay County held the Annual Clay County Fair for the entire week of the event. The Hog Eye Fest included an Ice Cream Crank Off and BBQ Cook Off contests along with loads of great music on the stage and pickers around the courthouse lawn. Livingston Mayor Curtis Hayes tried his hand at the Ice Cream Crank Off with his team mate Julie Hayes winning the 3rd Place and the Tasters' Choice Awards for their Cookies & Cream Ice Cream. 1st Place in the Ice Contest went to Carol & Claire Coleman for their Peach Ice Cream. 1st Place Winners in the BBQ Cook Off were Rebecca Gore in the adult categories; Justin Rogers in the 4th - 8th Grade categories; James Ferrell in the 9th - 12th Grade categories.
