Don't miss the final days of the FIRST
Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run which will wrap up at the end of business on Sunday, June 14. Keep in mind that this event will donate a portion of the proceeds to the
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville. You can get all the details and register on-line through
www.DaleHollowLakePokerRun.com.
1 in 5 players will win with up to $2500 for first place (payout depends on the number of participants). Everybody will receive a
Cool Blue Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run bracelet with registration. There are
several great events going on this weekend that you won't want to miss out on. Some of the participating
marinas are running specials during the event. The
Clay County Fair runs through Saturday, June 13. The
Livingston Hog Eye Festival is June 11 and 13. This event will feature a
5K run and a kids fun run at 8:00AM on Saturday morning, followed by a full day of activities and events wrapping up at 10:00PM. They will have an
Ice Cream Crank Off (come beat the mayor!),
BBQ Cook Off, food, arts & crafts and a wonderful
Car & Bike Cruise In. Be sure to enjoy the
live music and pickers on the lawn. It should be a great day for all.
Sunset Marina & Resort has just add their own special spin to Saturday's activities.
Guys & Grills is the name of their event. It sounds like a tasty time for all. See their flyer below or click on it to go to a larger version. You can also take a peak at their view through
their webcam. Their event will also include live music! So many wonderful choices! Currently, the weather forecast for this week is pretty good. There is a slight chance of a passing shower most days, but it shouldn't be a total wash out by any means. Highs should be near 80 and lows in the lower to mid-60's (degrees F) this weekend. Check the weekend forecast for the general area
here. Remember that the Poker Run is meant to be a safe and fun event. It's not a race. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities on Saturday and make your way around the lake another day to do the Run or go between activities. Several people completed the entire route in a portion of the day last Saturday and had a great time.
