Greetings!

It's hard to believe but summer is almost here.  Graduations are happening all around.  School is almost over for another year.  The FIRST Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run is schedule for June 6-14 which will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville.  If you can't make it in June, you can have a second opportunity this summer.  There will be a second run - August 22-30.  You can get the latest details and register on-line through www.DaleHollowLakePokerRun.com. Registration is the only way to obtain your Official Dale Hollow Lake Poker Run Score Card and gift item.  So, be sure to reserve yours today!  1 in 5 players will win with up to $2500 for first place.  Some of the participating marinas are running specials for the event, plus it is the Clay County Fair that week and the Livingston Hog Eye Festival.  The Monroe County Airport Fly-In and Byrdstown Kountry Kruisers will also be having events on June 6th, but you can find out more by visiting the www.DaleHollowLakePokerRun.com website.  There are so many events coming up over the next few weeks (and throughout the summer and fall).  We will highlight a few of them below coming up in May & June, but be sure to check the www.Go2DHL.com, www.Go2BSF.com and www.Go2FCF.com websites for a more complete listing.  The brand new edition of the Big South Fork Visitors' Guide will be available online in the next couple of weeks on www.Go2BSF.com.  The print edition will begin distribution throughout our coverage area just prior to the Memorial Day Weekend!

Remember Sunset Marina & Resort Restaurant  is open!  On Friday, May 15th at 10:00 am, Sunset will receive the "Clean Marina" designation and "Clean Marina Flag" from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Many USACE officials and political representatives are expected to attend this ceremony at Sunset's Flagpole.  Then on Saturday, May 16th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Sunset will host our Second Annual "Safe Boating Day".  Representatives from TWRA, USACE, USCG, E-911, Fire and EMS, and other groups will set up a table and pass out "Safe Boating" literature to lake boaters.

Be sure to check out Annie's Blog on either of the websites - www.Go2DHL.com, www.Go2BSF.com or www.Go2FCF.com, for more great information regarding various destinations around the regions or special aspects of living in the area.  Also, be sure to visit our sponsors at the end of this e-mail.  They help make this information available.  You can also find wonderful information about the area on their websites.  Check them out!

Thank you again for taking time from you busy schedule to visit with us.  The Dale Hollow Lake, Big South Fork and Fall Creek Falls regions are vibrant and beautiful regions at any time of year.  Each is a distinct destination within itself.  All are rich in heritage, wonderful people, scenic beauty and more.  We hope you will visit soon.  Each website is filled with great ideas for your next getaway.  Spend some quality time with your family and/or friends.  Remember - Time is our most valuable commodity.  Spend it wisely.  Family and friends are priceless.  Invest in them while you can.  The hussle, bussle and hassles of life may well be the same tomorrow.  However, if you don't take time to attend to the garden of those relationships, they might not be there in the future.

Sincerely,

Terry & Andrea Burckhard
