Greetings!
We hope all of you had a happy Thanksgiving! We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful Christmas season and blessed 2009!!! Even though things have been tougher this year than last, we have so much to be thankful for. We try to take time regularly to count our blessings and give God thanks for where we are at in our lives. We are so blessed to live in such a wonderful area with our family that we treasure so dearly. Such beauty lies all around in the people and places of the Dale Hollow Lake, Big South Fork and Fall Creek Falls regions. We have been working to add another guide to our destination marketing line up. It will feature the Fall Creek Falls region of Tennessee. Fall Creek Falls State Park is one of the most visited state parks in Tennessee. The area surrounding the park is rich in culture, natural beauty, and wonderful little shops unique to the area. No matter which area you prefer - Dale Hollow Lake, Big South Fork, or Fall Creek Falls, the other areas are an easy day trip to experience while you are here. Each share some of the same delights, yet each is quite unique. The 2009 Dale Hollow Lake Visitor's Guide will be available from early January, just in time for the Nashville Boat Show (January 7-11, 2009, booth 301) which we will be participating in, with the Fall Creek Falls Visitor's Guide debut set for the end of January, in time for the Indianapolis Boat Show (February 20-March 1, 2009, booth C-51). We would love to meet our readers at these shows. Come on by and pick up your copy of the new guide(s) and say hello. If you can't make it to the shows, stop by our websites for each: Dale Hollow Lake - www.Go2DHL.com, Big South Fork - www.Go2BSF.com, and Fall Creek Falls - www.Go2FCF.com. You can view the guide from the comfort of your own computer...where ever that might be. We are working to update the sites with the 2009 information, but everything should be up and running by boat show time. You also have the option of reserving your hard copy of the guide by contacting our office. Just reply to this e-mail with your guide preference and complete mailing address. Winter is a wonderful time of year to be in the area. Even when it is snowing, it's so peaceful you can often hear the snowflakes rustling in the air as they decend. Celebrations abound during this special time of year. We will highlight a few of those below and we would like to invite you to come enjoy a country Christmas. Be creative this year and take a winter vacation for the holidays, possibly making up for one you may have had to delay with the summers gas wows. It's not a good time to water ski, but Jesse of Against the Flow has been known to kayak in the snow. Hiking and horseback riding are great! However, the most important thing to remember is that you are spending quality time with those you love. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! |
